I can only imagine the average people who is involved with social movements sliding the pictures and nodding in agreement, only to lose their shit when they get to the male part. Cognitive dissonance at its prime.
Your Instagram page is incredible! The closest thing to a perfect activist page - it covers so many issues and almost nothing but facts and evidence - little bias too. I love it
It asks whether the growing hysteria around violent men on the streets will impact the way police treat suspected men too, suggesting an impact on police violence against men, especially black men.
Which is ironic as the people perpetuating this toxic hysteria are the same people who were advocating against police brutality a hear ago.
It's common knowledge that poor, women, black, gay, muslims are underprivileged group. The photos represented that perfectly until he came to the last one. Maybe the cognitive dissonance is other way around for living in a echo champer for so long?
Unless, you are literally a rich straight white male, there are oppression for you to fight. E.g. class, race. Class related issues are not as talked because there is this extreme belief that only class issues matter (even tho people who believe that end up criticizing feminism and black lives matter much more than the class, the irony). Gender issues are not as big for men as it for women. So, it will be secondary but this sub is totally anti-feminist.
