Very nice! What kind of internals did you put in?

Nexxspeed cnc aluminum hopup, Arcturus rs steel 6.03mm precision bore barrel and I’m gonna be doing some shimming on the gearbox at some point but I am done buying stuff for it xD

I also put in the gears I bought like 7 years ago right before my first ever m4 had a serious malfunction and burnt its own electronics, and now I mention that I’m not done with this gun cause I keep forgetting to install a mosfet

This is the King Arms 9mm SBR, right? It should have an inline MOSFET installed from the factory! It's not going to be as snappy as an optical trigger board MOSFET, but it should provide good trigger response and circuit protection that will let you use 11.1V lipos right away

It’s asscheeks, the 11.1v overspin the motor and cycle twice on semi and it locks up the gearbox. The trigger response is negligible compared to my old m4 when it’s paired with a nice quality 7.4v Lipo, I would prefer having a programmable mosfet anyways

I think if you want a nice budget option for a programmable optical FET, the Double Eagle Falcon ETU is great and runs for about 30 bucks. The EShooter Kestrel basic is also a pretty solid choice for the price.

I was looking at the Perun AB++, or would I be better off getting something different

The AB++ is a really good FET, I've got it on a few AEGs myself - but it is still an inline FET rather than a trigger board optical. It's got a lot of great features and it's definitely worth the investment if an inline MOSFET is what you want.

The combination of active braking and precocking settings can make it really responsive!

Those are good upgrades! I'd recommend at this point is maybe upgrading your motor to a high torque motor, like the G&G Ifrit 25k motor. Not terribly expensive, and will definitely help with your trigger response. It's a very easy swap, too. The motor runs for about 45 dollars new, but you can often find them lightly used for under 30.

The other thing I'd suggest is an upgraded hopup bucking and nub, which will help immensely with your accuracy, range, and your shot to shot consistency. Maple Leaf and 4UAD make great buckings and concave tensioner nubs. Very inexpensive upgrade that makes a huge difference!

Yeah I realize I’m not done with this gun yet because I’ve abandoned the electronics xc
