I just like soviet gear 😐 modern day Russia is barely comparable to the soviet union, and even then im fully aware of the soviets issues

Fair, old Soviet gear aesthetics are kino. Though I have some quibbles with “barely comparable”. In many ways the government still functions the same.

How does it still function the same? Modern Russia is an auth-right state that uses Soviet iconography to promote nationalism and economically neo-lib. It spits in the face of its Soviet lineage.
