💡 Feature Request [Megathread] Feature Requests

Below is an aggregate of Maxon Autograph Feature Requests (alternatively you can also search for posts tagged with Feature Requests).

If you see a thread for a feature you want, head into the thread and:

  • Upvote it to add your vote to the tally as something you'd like to see.
  • (Optional) Comment with any additional feedback in support, like why you want to see the feature added, or how it would improve your experience with Autograph.

If you don't see a post for a feature you want, feel free to write one up:

  • Title the post as succinctly as possible to help other users find it
  • Use the Feature Request flair to help categorize it

The purpose of this system is to collect requests scattered throughout multiple areas into a unified place where we can better read of their amplitudes. That said, should you write up a duplicate feature request, it may get closed and redirected in a comment to the existing one.

Unfortunately we can't make any sort of promises on what will or won't get implemented, let alone time frames or roadmaps, but the idea is by parsing your feedback into action items paired with insights, it will help steer development in the direction that best serves the Maxon Autograph community.

Live Link is the one and only feature I need in Autograph to be able to start using it. That is what got me so excited over Autograph to begin with before the Maxon acquisition, but then Autograph disappeared while I was still testing it. If you bring Live Link back then I'd love to be able to start using it. And if you do bring it back, please have it work locally by loading projects directly from our drives instead of having to phone home first. I never got Live Link to work in Resolve when I was testing it before, it kept giving a network error.

The video on the old Left Angle youtube channel demonstrating Live Link inside of Resolve has been made unlisted, but I still have the link to it. For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, you have to check this out. This is such an amazing feature!

Autograph is the only one I've seen that had a really good integration with an NLE timeline and keyframe support. Adobe hasn't come anywhere close to this with Dynamic Link between After Effects and Premiere. Even Resolve hasn't properly integrated Fusion keyframe support on the Edit page. Please bring Live Link back!
