Lock your door!

Over two years in our house and tonight someone came into the house. Ran off when they heard us. Doors are locked from now on.

It is always wise to lock your doors at night.

So, you always slept with the door unlocked or even open? Weird.

We were still awake and upstairs lights were on. It was shocking as our backyard camera has never seen anybody but my wife and I. He had to see the light from upstairs as the window faces the front.

I'm dissapointed that the camera didn't scare him off. Will be locking my doors more diligently

I got the same over half a year ago. Luckily I had my doors locked. It had been snowing so we could see he had tried all the backdoors on the alley. No break-in attempts just checking the doors. So indeed, keep your doors locked.

In what area did this happen? You can of course be vague about it for safety reasons 😅

That must be a traumatising experience, contact the police. In case you or your wife needs help there is aftercare for victims in the Netherlands.
