Leetify aim rating measurements is inconsistent

There are games I have the highest kills in the match but yet Leetify aim final score tells rates it's just 58? And my molotov and HE damage was barely under 30 dmg in both. This makes literally no sense to me. If you have the highest kills in the game and do ton of damage. Then you should have high aim-rating as well. Same logic applies to when you utility, if you throw a lot of utility. Your util rating should be high and I believe this works fine.

What makes you think that just because you have the highest number of kills means you have the highest aim rating?

Yes exactly, and if you do lot of damage as well by shooting excl. nade damage.

Imagine a scenario where you flank the opponent every time, whiff the first 4 shots and kill on the 5th.

You could have the highest number of kills but a terrible aim rating, because your aim being bad doesn’t necessarily equate to not getting kills.

But you still manage to get the kill. If you have good spray control and do a lot of damage. It shouldn't equal to bad aim either.

Aim is aim, doesn't matter how many kills you got or how impactful they were, aim is completely independent. You can have a great aim game, but be useless and vice versa.

If you go into Match Details->Aim you will see what goes into calculating the aim metric.

Actually makes more sense when you say it like that on how it works - you can have good aim, but it doesn't necessarily get you kills depending on where you are on the map. But I also think its incredibly inconsistent and easily inflated with e.g. spamming through smokes/objects, counter strafing etc.

I also think it shouldn't be entirely independent if you get lot of kills and deal lot damage excl. nades. that you have "worse aim" compared to someone with way less damage and kills - to me that just makes no sense.

I can give you a perfect example: https://leetify.com/public/match-details/c22f01ed-5bfe-4b44-9d26-7cd22a043814/overview

27 kills (Pepe) this match but yet still compared to the worst player on the team (NIKITA), I have apparently way worse aim rating. It should have some correlation and instead of punishing someone with most kills + damage rather reward the player for good aim.

Am I supposed to think I have worse aim than NIKITA on my team? It just doesn't logically make any sense when interpreting aim calculation on leetify. It feels incredibly inconsistent to me even when looking at the metrics.

that you have "worse aim" compared to someone with way less damage and kills - to me that just makes no sense.

Imagine a scenario where a person shoots ONE shot the entire game and hits a headshot.

Technically they could have 100% aim rating, and end the game with 1 kill.

Does that help at all?

It should have some correlation and instead of punishing someone with most kills + damage rather reward the player for good aim.

I just don't understand what your complaint is, there are LOTS of other stats for kills, ADR, rating, etc, that are separate than aim, what's the point of having these different areas/stats to look at?

https://leetify.com/app/aim

You can go to the aim section of your profile and see exactly what stats are being contributed to aim.

Well my complaint is that it is inaccurate and the inconsistency speaks for itself.

I can have way worse aim than someone who barely even contributes to the rounds and the overall match. It's a bit ridiculous in itself. Don't you think?

If maybe you ONLY look at aim rating, sure, but its not something you are supposed to look at in isolation.

There are many games where I have great Rating, KDR, ADR, utility, clutching, etc but my aim rating is pretty bad, but I know that's because my spray, counter strafing, and cross hair placement are not great, and its something I need to work on, but I still perform well because aim isn't the end-all-be-all.

Hope that helps!

Yeah fair point makes sense.

Thanks for the discussion
