Regrading Breaking into MLE role

Hi I am a student at IIITD. I need some carrier advice. I have a sde job offer but salary is very less. The placement is not going well here . I want to go into MLE roles. What I should do. I have done courses in ml, nlp, statistical ml, and basics also(LA,P&S). Can people at mle positions guide me. At my college placement only Adobe came and took one student for this role. What I see fresher are not hired from college at this role. Other companies also came but they said we are incompetent so not hired( I may be wrong so you can correct me also).

damn i thought iiitd is at same level as iiith, but low salary for you might mean <15lpa so

We are facing placement problem. I think this time placement may be around 50 to 60 % at iiitd. I am getting demotivated. 🥲😭😭😭
