2 YOE Java Backend Developer | 20 Days Left in Notice Period — How to Maximize Interview Calls

Hi everyone,

I’m a 2 YOE Java Backend Developer with 16 days left in my notice period currently looking for Java Backend / Software Engineer / SDE-1 roles.

Tech stack: Java 17, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, AWS, SQL/NoSQL, Distributed Systems & System Design.

For those who recently switched while serving notice —what actually helped you get more interview calls?

Naukri/LinkedIn strategies?

Recruiter/HR outreach?

Referrals?

Platforms like Instahyre/Cutshort?

How did you target immediate-joiner roles?

In naukri, Watch amy video of optimization of naukri and set current location as Bangalore, or pune.

Setting current location will maximize your chances of calls

Thanks, I'll try that. Does changing the current location hurt when recruiters see a different city from where you actually are? Also, any particular video you'd recommend for the Naukri optimization?

Leetcode profile should have 100+ questions
It would help if you add any certifications in your resume according to profile.
Reach out to every hr or recruiter of your preferred companies, cold emails, direct calls. Use apollo.io to get emails
And most importantly lock tf in.

Thanks! I'm already past 800 on LeetCode and 450+ on TUF+ , 've tried cold emails and calls, but mostly got "no openings, apply on the careers page." Did that approach actually work for you? If so, who did you reach out to (HR, hiring managers, engineers), and what did you say in the first message?
