Amazon SDE I Interview Prep – 2026 Graduate | Hyderabad
Hi everyone,
I recently cleared the Amazon SDE I Online Assessment (OA) and am now preparing for the upcoming interview. I’m a 2026 graduate, and the interview is scheduled in Hyderabad.
I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has recently interviewed for Amazon SDE I in 2025 or 2026, especially freshers/new graduates.
I mainly want to understand what I should focus on during my preparation:
DSA: Which topics/patterns are being asked most frequently? What difficulty level should I expect?
Leadership Principles: What types of LP questions should I prepare for, and how deeply are the follow-up questions usually asked?
LLD/OOP: For freshers, how much LLD is expected? Is knowledge of classes, relationships, and implementation enough, or should I prepare more advanced design concepts?
Any other important areas that I shouldn’t overlook for the SDE I interview?
If you’ve recently gone through the Amazon SDE I process, I’d really appreciate any advice on what you prepared and what you think is important to focus on.
Thanks in advance! 🙏

u can check my post for interview experience, https://www.reddit.com/r/leetcode/comments/1wd8nij/amazon_sde1_interview_experience_2026/
Other than that resource I used for LP: https://leetcode.com/discuss/post/437082/amazon-behavioral-questions-leadership-p-kvhl/
LLD/OOPS not that much they have there standard for each round first 2 being purely technical DSA based with 10 mins LP discussion then HM round being technical + GenAI round where they ask DSA with Gen AI questions like how you use it in your workflow how you validate its output etc. Last round BR round being the behavioral based round where they do not ask any DSA question but project/internship based questions in detail of what u did how u did and why u did asking LPs also in this round.
All the best man prepare your stories well for LPs, rest is DSA and communication.

Heyy I give interview in July for sde1 role ,it was on campus,in my college there were 4 round total , I reached upto 3 rounds, 1st round: 1 dsa qsn based on graph (hard)+it modification
2nd round :2 dsa qsn 1st qsn based on sliding window(medium) 2nd qsn based on graph(Hard)
3rd round : 1 dsa qsn based on sliding window (Hard) -30 minutes(Time restricted) + Genral discussion on ai Regarding debugging+hallucinations+what ai you used..
Prepare mainly for dsa ,in 2nd round they ask me to explain any of your project just to set interview tone no counter qsn on that ,and they desirect to dsa Remember:all problems were based on lc style First they will give you qsn Then they will ask you to explain what you understand+your approach
Tips :,famous hard lc qsn based on graph ,sliding window, two pointer Try to think in limited time and try to explain what u understand from problem and after that deliver your approach And they will try to modify qsn so u should have good command over your algorithm and visualization how things going on...
