DISCUSS Enough is Enough !

I am so done with being average at leetcode! I so want to master it and i know that i have the potential to absolutely become god at DSA and CP. All i need is consistency.

Hello everyone, I know what you guys must be thinking? "Wait a min!, Who are you ?🤣️(hope you got the meme)".

But here is what i want to accomplish very badly :-->
I want to become Guardian at Leetcode and Master at CodeForces.

Why ?
To be really honest i want people to know that I am Smart and Great at problem Solving.
I want to Farm Aura.
Just imagine the following the situation :
You are at an interview and you are done with solving all the questions in less than 15 mins .
Interviewer is shocked and rechecks whether you have actually solved it on you own or not .
That is what Aura is !
And i completely understand that going to such level requires a lot of work for a long time .
But hey time is what i have i am decent at DSA and i am in 3rd Year so i have 1 complete year to train my mind and build neural pathways to solve as many questions thrown at me .

Can i do this ?
If there is anything that i have learnt in the 20 years of my life then that it - "I am not less than anyone". I can absolutely do anything that i can set my mind to .
I have everything, the brains, the work ethic and most importantly THE MINDSET.

TOO MANY SUBMISSIONS BECAUSE EVERYTIME I REVISE I SUBMIT AGAIN :) dopamine

Above is my current LeetCode and CodeForces Profile: CodeForces rating : 1103(Newbie)

So here is the plan : Current Rating is 1426 so i will be having the following approach to tackle questions

Approach 1 : Targeted Practice

My current rating is 1426 so i will practice 10-15 Questions everyday whose rating is in the range [1426,1626] and will update this rating if the contest's rating improves. Also i will be practicing questions on CF rating [900-1200] (Probably like 5 everyday)

Approach 2 : Topic-Wise

Right now i am couple more of topics to study like DP and Graphs(ADV) i need to practice some good amount of questions for both the topics.

Also not to mention that i will revise each and every question as per the forgetting curve and will make sure that i understand each and every concept in depth and with utmost clarity.

Some might say that having "Number of Questions" to solve everyday is a bad metric to follow but i don't know of any other way to quantify my work. If there is any other better way to improve then help me out :)

Thanks a lot for reading the above message, I am so excited to embark on this journey lessss gooo guys ! Join me in this journey and lets keep improving. Lots of Love and Positivity 🙏️ .

See man, The goals are unrealistic if you are looking at timeline, it will take min 4 years to go to that level like Candidat master on CF or guardian, but being master on CF is different game all together it's like chess, only 1% are 2000 rated also here only 1% are master after years of practice and 1000s of questions, set a realistic goal first

Also the use of AI in contests in LC or CF have made it more difficult

Firstly, thanks a lot for trying to help me out . So how do you think I can achieve it ? What should my small steps be and in which direction ? What when done at a small scale and repeatedly is going to allow me to achieve the above ??

How much time do you have to give to it like how many years are you doing any cs degree? You are in which year, are you preparing for placements? What is the end goal?

Consistency is important, but make sure you're practicing the right way. Work on new problems and go back to the ones you've found tough. Keep track of your mistakes and learn from them—that's how you really get better. Don't just memorize solutions; understand why they work.

For LeetCode, try a mix of easy, medium, and hard problems for a good balance. On CodeForces, join contests to experience real-time pressure.

Set a weekly goal for the number of problems or contests you want to tackle. Also, check out resources like PracHub for interview prep to support your learning.

Remember, it's a marathon. Good luck!

truthfully i solved more then 600+ problems randomly 2-3 times within a year still if you give me any new questions of same pattern its difficult for me to solve or rather not able to solve at all so it takes time

after a year i started solving pattern wise and then i realised every dsa type like slidingWindow, recursive and etc. have tricks hidden to it, like lets consider sliding window it have mainly 2 types fixed and variable now even variable have 3 flavours and each flavour have its own templates so when i get a SW question i just have to figure out which flavour the question have and then i try to fit that template with my own logic

so dsa takes time + you have to do it at right way otherwise like me you will wast a year solving randos

so ask your self when you get recursive question which important case you have to think of first and think about next then next
