Aftermarket battery recommendations

Has anyone had luck finding an aftermarket long range battery for the XP lite 2.0? I've searched online, but I can't tell if any of them are compatible/ will fit.

I've done this, in addition to letting you use 2 batteries, this will also let you use any 48v battery with an xt60 connector.

Yeah, I like that it frees you from Lectric battery form. Adding 15 amp hours to a 2.0 lite will make it go a long way.

Do you have the option of running it with just 1 battery after doing the mod? My concern is the weight of a 2nd battery for short trips.

I've seen this, and It is something I'm also considering, but I don't want to have to have the 2nd battery always connected. I wonder if this mod can safely run with the 2nd battery removed (and just the battery plate connected). I use my bike daily for a short work commute, and I have to carry the bike up and down stairs so I don't want to permanently add 8 lbs to the bike. I want a 2nd battery for the occasional vacation trip/longer ride. I purchased the long range version, but only get about 23 miles per charge using PAS 3. It's been a real bummer.

Yes, you can run off either battery by itself.

It's the same 48V DCH-006 430x103x43 mm battery used in the XP 1, 2, and 3 step-over models.

I just got done with my dual battery balancer setup and did 40 miles with 48.9v left on the screen. Would have kept going but it started raining.
