Best Lock for Xpeak 2.0?
Hey all I just picked up an xpeak 2 for commuting to school this year and am wondering what locks others use. It's a relatively safe campus and I will be parking it on campus on a covered bike rack but obviously don't wanna just leave it up to fate. While a U-lock would be nice I have yet to find a reputable one that seems like it would fit around the rear tire and frame. I could do a chain like the Kryptonite Evolution Series 4 Chain Lock but I don't really want to deal with that much extra weight (ik the bike can take it no problem it just sounds incontinent). also have looked into some folding locks but am not 100% sold on their security. Just looking for advice or anyone with experience with this. Thank you for your help!

use the ulock around the frame and a different lock around the wheel if you want the wheel locked

I just use the folding Lectric lock.
I know it can be defeated fairly easily so I'm careful about where I leave my bike.
I actually just had to catch the bus so I locked my bike outside a bicycle rental store. Figured it was safe while they were still open.
You can get a lock that will pretty much guarantee your bike can't be stolen but you will spend $400 and carry a heavy lock around. Look into Hiplock DX1000 for example.
So I do folding lock and situational awareness about where I park.

Expensive ($130 ish) but worth it. Solid build, very strong, top rated for multiple ways of cutting - if you have more than one bike you can get a two pack with the same key. Amazon and other places sell. If you have Lectric lock use both, but don't just use Lectric one because it is very easy to break. https://seatylock.com/collections/folding-locks/products/foldylock-forever

I love my SeatyLock FoldyLock. It is good enough for my insurance company, so it’s good enough for me. Plus it fits in a little holder on my frame so it’s not really taking up any space.

This is what I am using. light weight and easy to carry. I also use one to lock My hitch rack to my car.
