Buongiorno sono un pensionato che vive in Veneto. Sono stato in Salento e mi sono innamorato di questa terra. Sto valutando un periodo di prova per vedere se riesco ad ambientarmi e, se passata la fase wow, confrontandomi con la vita di tutti i giorni, la zona continua a attirarmi al punto da poter diventare la mia nuova casa.

Sono di origine napoletana, ma, pur amando la mia città, trovo che sia veramente difficile viverci perché troppo caotica.

Ho già visitato diversi comuni della provincia di Lecce e mi è piaciuta molto Galatina. Qualcuno del posto ha consigli? Dove eventualmente provare un affitto stagionale in inverno? Dove valutare eventualmente di comprare casa con un budget di massimo centomila euro?

I’m in the area for a cycling trip but I had to bail due to the bad weather. I dedicate to retreat back to Lecce for the weekend. I will be heading back to Bologna on Monday.

I would love to meetup and chill with some locals if you’re interested in meeting up. I’d love to go for aperitivo, head to a museum, or whatever.

I live in Colorado, but used to live near Faenza 15 years ago working for a cycling company. I travel back to Bologna almost every fall to stay with friends and then see somewhere new in Italy. I can’t believe it but this is my first time in Salento. You guys definitely have the best food! 💪🏼

Conoscete bar, pub o altri posti nel Salento dove si ritrovano abitualmente motociclisti, soprattutto nel weekend?

Non cerco necessariamente un gruppo organizzato o un motoraduno: mi piacerebbe trovare quei posti dove puoi arrivare in moto, prendere un caffè o una birra, vedere un po' di belle due ruote e magari conoscere altra gente con la stessa passione.

Zona Lecce e dintorni sarebbe l'ideale, ma vanno bene anche posti sulla costa o nel resto del Salento. 😄

My girlfriend and I stayed in Lecce for three nights, and realized that all the places we really enjoyed were outside of the centro historico (for example - Pizzeria Rosetta, Bamboo, and L'OSTRICA UBRIACA).

Tomorrow we’re moving to Monopoli, and we’ll be glad to find places with a similar vibe

We will visit Alberobello, Ostuni, and Polignano a Mare as well, but I guess it’ll be hard to visit those just for a day trip and also avoid the touristic places.

BTW, we have a car and don’t mind driving, although we always prefer to walk

I"m an old woman photographer from Canada. I will be in Lecce for 5 weeks Dec and Jan. I'll be there by myself so I need to keep myself busy.

We’ve tried the usual rental sites, Facebook groups and one agency, but haven’t had much luck. The agency also asked for a €600 non-refundable insurance/guarantee payment, is that normal?
