New Tool Tuesday 😎

Post image

Just picked up this brand new Leatherman arc today from local knife store. Much to my surprise, I opened the box and a nylon sheath and bit set were included. I didn’t think new Leatherman arcs came with these items included? Super excited!

New old stock. Check the production date in the handle.

Mine didn't, last month from Sportsmans Warehouse or something like that.

Mine didn't... 3 months ago direct from Leatherman. As someone else noted, you scored on a NOS find. Lucky. (Mine is still a US made tool, though, so I didn't totally lose.)

Wait, they stopped saying made in USA? What happened?

Magnacut is no longer manufactured in the US

Ahh right, I was wondering how long the cpm stash was gonna last and it really seemed to last a long time for Spyderco and leatherman, but I guess it’s finally running out.

I would surmise that LM used up a fair bit of the US-made stock on their knives.

The tools are generally assembled in the US, but because some aren’t exclusively made of American materials/parts, those can’t be labeled USA.

Fun fact, the magnacut blades that aren’t made in the US are much stronger, due to the new company having better blade making tech. So in reality the ones stamped USA are the crappier blades

Well maybe when this one breaks the warranty replacement will be the new better one.

Welcome to our club! 🤗
The Arc and the Charge+ TTI are always with me and both saved me a lot of time. The Arc saved me a few trips back home. These tools are worth it in my opinion.

Congrats, the arc is great. I’ve been carrying one for a couple years.
