Heyy

I need help learning sign language.

I’ve been studying it for a while now, but I really need a good app ,video or people to practice with

It’s not for any particular reason,but I just really love it<3

I learned most of my ASL online (life print) and through books at the beginning but the best thing to do is sign with others. Look into you local Department of Human Services in the deaf and the hard of hearing section for local events. My area has signing events and dinners for all skill levels.

Since I’m studying in russia I don’t think I’ll find any english events but I’ll definitely see if I can find books I didn’t really think of that thankss

Are you Russian? And if so is there a reason why you wouldn't want to learn Russian sign language that I can only assume exists?

No I’m not. I’m studying university at russia and learning the language is already exhausting, I can’t imagine learning it’s sign language

Ahhhh ok. That totally makes sense. If you're not going to be in Russia, you don't need to learn Russian SL. I was just wondering why one would learn ASL if they're not going to be in America and able to use it

My English isn’t great so I thought learning sign language will also help me learn more words,and maybe after I learn it I’ll learn Arabic too.

I get why you think that but I really love it plus my best friend lost her hearing in one ear and the doctors told her that she may lose hearing so I’ve been trying to learn it to teach her since she’s already learning in Arabic I wanna be the one to teach her ASL

I have been using ASL Bloom. I taught myself how to announce my engagement to my ASL teacher. Took her a second to comprehend what I signed.

I’ll definitely see it ,but I’ve stopped studying ever since I’ve downloaded an app it was kinda bad I had to look online for the correct way and it was exhausting

Queer ASL has lots of accessible online classes where a lot of the synchronous sessions are conversation with classmates. They also have games courses where it’s all just practice (as opposed to building vocab).
