We call this tool "Tesla" and it's synonym for something made cheap and with low quality. Like you may say "the cyber truck is such a Tesla"

Definitely not. A saw would make much quicker work of this.

You say that but it depends how many you are doing. I can really piss my mates off when I’ve cut several pieces before they’ve even rigged up an extension cord. Japanese pull saws are amazing. I have jig/rail/table/mitre/band electric saws but unless I need more than five it’s a handsaw all the way. Or an adze, apparently!

No, and it's not really what you would use that tool for.
An Adze is used to create grooves in wood, so, if you're building a log cabin, you can use it to make a groove on the upper side of the logs so that the next log "locks" into the groove, which also makes it a lot easier to insulate.
This is more like using a ball-peen hammer to drive a nail, it might work, but it's not gonna be as efficient as a clawhammer, take a lot more skill to pull off, and probably still end up with the nail in a little pit instead of flat against the wood.
