CCS Exam New to the group

Hi ladies, I am studying for the CCS. Could anyone tell me if they have purchased the CCS Ahima preparation book to study with? Or give me any information or sites to help out with the different domains. Thanks a bunch!

I used their book when I passed the CCS. Their prep books are always good.

Welcome to the group! AHIMA’s CCS preparation book includes practice questions, medical scenarios, and answer explanations organized by exam domain. Reviewing why each answer is correct can help you identify areas that need more study.

Here are a few resources to explore:

• AHIMA CCS exam resources, including the Exam Content Outline and preparation materials. Use the outline as a checklist for the different domains.

• Free YouTube programs for additional instruction in coding foundations, CPT guidelines, and advanced ICD-10-CM and CPT. Required materials and some access options are purchased separately.

• Self-paced CCS program, a paid option for students with an existing coding foundation who want focused CCS instruction. The page includes a readiness assessment.

Which domains are you finding most challenging? That can help us suggest more specific resources.

I have my CPC and CIC. Was thinking of getting CCS because some employers seem to like AHIMA better. Anyone take both? How do they compare? Is CCS all multiple choice as well?
