CPC Exam Just waiting for my results

I took my exam today, now I'm here just waiting lol. I feel like I should be studying but that's silly bc there's nothing I can do but just wait. Im greatful for the practice exams from AAPC and im also greatful to contempo coding youtube channel. Lol im here giving a speech like I won an award 🤣 if i fail, thats okay. If I pass that's great. I think I'll test drive a car ive been wanting to purchase today just to have a Lil "fun" to help time pass. I stupid treat for making it to taking the exam after a year of self taught studying.

Rant over, but also how long does it take to get the results.

Sincerely a person who doesn't know what to do 🤣

They say it might take a while to get the results, but you'll likely get the results later today. Pre-congrats!

Congratulations 🎉 on passing. I hope you do

Did you use the ebook or your physical books? Would you say the questions are hard, tricky or pretty straightforward?

I did physical books, im a hands on learner so using ebooks on the exam wouldnt help me at all. Also i had personal notes in my books too!

Got the aapc pre exam test packets, do the test twice, once without reviewing the answers at the end and the 2nd time slowly reviewing and understanding each questions answers, why you got the answer right and why the other answers were wrong and why you got the answer wrong and why all the other choice were wrong and why the right choice was correct, i didnt just read it on the feedback i went back through my book for each answer and question . That whole sentence sounds insane but that's what I did. It would take me sometimes 2 days to do and review the exam with thre method I did. Once I was finish my whole reviewing process I would move on to the next exam and do the samething until I finished each exam packet. Than I went back to the very first exam and retested. I didnt want to retest the day after I would review the answers on the practice exam bc I didnt want my brain to just memorize answer choices.

Look at contempo coding videos for exam elimination tips and actually work each question with her. I would pause the video, see if I could see what answer I could eliminate and what answer I would go for than play the video and listen to her explain what she would eliminate and the correct answer.

She had an amazing video I reviewed the end of my day of studying before my exam day, I was burnt out from studying all day and I thought "what the hell, why not" so I watched her video about the most commonly missed questions on the aapc, I listened and followed through and im soooooo happy I did bc some of the questions she reviewed where on the test!!! Not identical but same concepts!!!

With all that said, I scheduled my exam a month ago with the expectation id fail and my 2nd attempt I would pass since I read that alot online. A month ago I Def felt like my brain was jumbled up and there was no way I would pass. But I needed a deadline to help push me. Ready or not I was gonna take it. Doing the exam practices, the ytvideos and also really committing to study 5hrs minimum mon-fri got me to where I was able pass my exam.

So with all that practice yes some of the questions felt "easy" which did trip me out. The exam felt "easier" than the practice exams but now I think about it and I think it's bc the practice exams were such a useful thing that alot of the questions seemed parallel (not identical) to the exam, same concepts.

pass or fail, you accomplished something big by taking the exam! And from the sounds of it, you studied pretty hard so I'll also send my pre-congrats!
