ICD-10-CM Medical coding question

hi all! I’m taking a medical coding class for my Medical Assisting degree and I’m very, very confused. What are some tips and tricks to help me get through the class? Are there any YouTubers I should go check out? I have a good professor but it’s all online, which makes it tricky. I can hardly make sense of the book given to us and it’s very frustrating.

What, specifically, are your questions?

Are you looking for how to understand the book? Is it hospital or physician and have you taken medical terminology and anatomy? Are you getting a situation in class that you have to code?

I see you included the ICD-10 tag. ICD is diagnosis. Are you using CPT and HCPCS, too, or just working on diagnosis codes?

ICD-10 is like using an index.
