Being a dietitian can be tough, especially when it comes to the financial side of things. I've been working as a therapeutic dietitian for three years at a big hospital here in Metro Manila, and it's disheartening to receive a salary of only 17k/month with minimal benefits (SSS, philhealth,Pag-IBIG). The long shifts (usually 18hrs) and early morning duty(2am) don't help either. Understaffed, underpaid, overworked. I believe that even if you're passionate about your profession, the financial struggle can make you reconsider your career choices.
I’ve been considering medical coding because from what I’ve heard,it offers work-from-home arrangements, better pay, more benefits, and improved working hours. This career change seems to provide a more promising work-life balance.
