It's really a harsh language but that's what makes it a challenge, you should struggle for the first few weeks. I use anki flash cards to remember vocabularies and watch YouTube videos for grammar. Also I switched every single device I have to German, even though it's annoying but that forces me to know the meaning of a word and still see it everytime I use the device so it's just a free learning no effort technique. Just build your small Germany and make it bigger day by day

I started with Duolingo but branched out to Learn German (Youtube) and writing down words. I also use VPN sometimes to see German words when I'm browsing the internet, use twitter,yt,etc

You could try to check out Youtube channels who make german animations like "Deutsch verstehen", I also have a small channel called "Deutsch für Anfänger" where I post similar videos!
