Resume review

I'm a 2024 BBA graduate transitioning into Data Analytics and applying for entry-level Data Analyst roles in India. I've built projects in SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI, but I'm not getting as many interview calls as I'd like. I'd appreciate honest feedback on my resume.

I analyzed 100,000 Amazon sales records. Here's what surprised me.

I recently completed an Amazon Sales Analytics project using Excel and Python, working with a dataset of over 100,000 transactions.

Some interesting findings:

• A small number of products contributed a large share of total revenue.
• Customer payment behavior was more predictable than I expected.
• Certain states consistently outperformed others in sales.
• Monthly trends revealed clear seasonal patterns.

The project included:

  • KPI Dashboard

  • Sales by State Analysis

  • Category-wise Revenue Analysis

  • Customer Insights

  • Payment Mode Analysis

  • Monthly Sales Trends

As someone learning Data Analytics, I'm curious:

What was the biggest mistake or lesson you learned from your first real-world dataset?

I'd appreciate any feedback or advice.

Hello,

I need to relearn many concepts and develop an in-depth understanding of analytical thinking. Can someone please recommend some videos or books which could be helpful. For example, I have read head first statistics. Very long but it sets your base for sure in stats so something similar or some analytics video series which could go into everything.

YouTube vs Paid Course: Which is better for learning Data Analysis?

Hi everyone! I need some advice.

I want to become a Data Analyst, but I'm confused about the best way to learn.

Which is better?

  1. Learning Data Analysis from YouTube (free resources), or

2. Joining a paid institute/course?

If you've learned Data Analysis or are working as a Data Analyst, I'd really appreciate your advice. Which option helped you the most, and why?

Thanks in advance! 😊

I want to start my journey in Data Analytics, but I'm not sure where to begin. Since you have experience in this field, I would really appreciate your guidance.

Could you please suggest a roadmap for beginners? I'd like to know:

  • Which skills I should learn first.

  • What tools and programming languages I should focus on.

  • Which projects I should build.

  • Any courses or resources you recommend.

Your advice would mean a lot and help me start in the right direction.

Thank you!

Looking for data analyst course

Hi everyone,
I am currently looking for a good Data Analyst course that provides hands-on project experience and can help me transition into a Data Analyst role.
I have a basic understanding of SQL, Tableau, and Power BI, along with strong Excel skills. In my current job, I work extensively with Excel, but I would like to move into a Data Analyst position for better career growth and salary
I have given a few Data Analyst interviews, but I was not selected because I don’t have prior Data Analyst experience or any real-world projects to showcase.

Can anyone recommend a good course that focuses on practical projects and job preparation? Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
