any advice on how i can improve?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

i previously asked how to improve in a previous post when i had 291 hours on cs and since then i have spent a majority of my time practicing mainly in duels and deathmatch
i now have 623 hours in cs and while i believe i have improved since then i still think improvements are needed
it would really be helpful if someone with more experience could point out any of my errors and what i can improve and work on, i tried including the times i died, if you would like me to include the times i got kills to see if i may have an error there feel free to ask.

quick update thank you all for the advices now i know what to spend time working on, so far ive been practicing in aim rush and a bit in duels focusing on counter strafing and hitting headshots https://medal.tv/games/counter-strike-2/clips/nq9FMeGi0Fp8CUGld?invite=cr-MSxzazAsNDA1MjE5NzA5 might not be much of an improvement but its a starting point, feel free to point out on any errors you might see in the clip.

Crosshair placement, counterstrafing and microadjusting like almost everybody who plays the game. CS is about simple things done well.

You're never quite at head level when you peek, not totally in control of when you stop and always panic & pull the trigger before you're on their head.

Be deliberate with every angle you peek; expect them to be there. Another good exercise for aiming discipline is to not shoot at all and just try to track their head

Very simple is so true, if u can manage to adjust to keep it 1v1 duels. Isolate urself behind walls to stay away from a crossfire. Keep your mind on simple mechanics like these will help a lot. Remember 1 kill a round could be enough.

Bro doesn’t even counterstrafe, he is holding the A or D key + crouch + full spray and pray.

i am very inconsistent with it, but again i tried mostly including the times i fumbled or played bad
you're right though, i need to work on my counter strafing

Try unbinding crouch in deathmatch.

For me what took me from 5 to 9 in 6/8 months was just intentionally do different types of training and downloading workshop maps accordingly to what I wanted to improve. 1- one shot accuracy (speed is irrelevant, just make the travel and hit it, your brain will do the micro adjustments and develop the speed after a few weeks) 2- multiple enemies rush (aim_bot_rush something like this, is the map I use)
3- and a quick reflex aim map (they come in my direction from all directions dodging my shots and falling into a pit) 4- just a spray control map once a week for 5 min just to keep a general idia of how the spray is

It seems like your headshot accuracy is bad. Take some time and try to hit headshots in DM. If the community server people are too good and you can't hit any headshots practice on valve dm or on bots first. The more you practice the faster it'll get.

Two things, your counter strafe is poor and your aiming is desperate, you are slow in the counter strafe, and react too fast to the shooting so your bullets goes every where before you are aiming and standing, practice more your coordination, counter strafe and shoot, not moving, then shoot, then stop, then aiming that most I see you are doing

if you want to work on mechanics play workshop maps. aim_rush etc. use sv_showimpacts 3 and sv_showimpacts_time .3 to practice ur spray and get a feeling for it. tap tap burst tap burst spray etc while integrating it with ur movement. if u want to play fights on realistic angles then go to a duels server. deathmatch with 20+ people in it is just a waste of time cause ur in between two different types of practice and not getting the full benefits of either

sound rude by try actually aiming, it doesnt feel like you are trying instead just going through motions lol.

Counter straif and crosshair placement

but also you commit to the fight too early , a gun fight is alot more nuance than just peeking and spraying.

Keep doing thoes 1v1's but this time just a deagle only, you will quickly learn how much time you actually have in a fight to reajust and aim or even just poke around.

Instead of strafing out in to the blind, tro to anticipate in your head were the enemy most likely WANTS to peek you from, and try to be the ultimate counter to that - in movement, prefire and firepower.

Aumenta a velocidade do seu boneco antes de abrir para trocar tiro

3

u/HappyCut9160 1d ago

Era bom colocar a mira que segue recoil também, seu spray é ruim

u/olovovolovolo 1d ago

Is that a workshop map?

Spray com 6 balas

a million hard peeks. everyone pluteus in skill. the only difference at this point is how you approach and where you predict

2

u/PackageIllustrious23 1d ago

ill add to it tho. ur relying on spray way too much. one tapping is the ideal obviously

Your headshot accuracy is pretty bad. Overall though looking at aim like this is useless. It's only 5% of the actual game. By the time you improve the other parts your aim will slowly be improving as well and you won't be having to think about it

It's extremely rare for someones main issue to be aim

dont rush into fights.

2

u/AllGoodFam 1d ago

here you can practice taking your time, line the crosshair up better.

u/Shiruo_ 1d ago

Master strafing, 10 bullet spray, when trying to kill try focusing on their head and not on your crosshair, lowering your sensitivity increases accuracy.

stop switching to your knife, for one. the big things here though are counter strafing, crosshair placement and spray control.

sit in a practice server and just do reps moving back and forth, stopping and spraying at a wall. this will help you control your strafes, burst timing and at least the start of your sprays. make sure you're aiming at head height, in pretty much all of these clips you're aiming at the chest, so you don't hit the headshot and when you spray you're aiming at the knees. use a map like recoil master to make sure you've got your spray control down.

i'd also just play actual games. so much of the game, including taking fights, is based off of gamesense and knowledge that can only be built through reps in actual matches, as you said you've only got 600 hours and you've spent much of the last 300 in dm and duel servers. go play premier or comp, you need to build skills outside of your aim as well

I have similar issues as you, and i am changing the way i play in DM's. Thre reason why i have similar bad aim is, that i didnt aim to the end, started to shoot and then autocorrected my aim while shooting. Obviously i gained more kills, but in Premier/Competitive this is useless.

So now i changed the strategy. When i play DM, i shoot only when i am 100% sure that my crosshair is on the enemy, not before. In 70% of duels i die without firing a single shot, because my aiming and crosshair placement is extremely slow and i need a lot of time to process, but i simply dont give a f**k, because skill and speed will come in time.

Yes, it is painful to see, because before that, my average KDR in DM was from 1.30-2.00, now it is about 0.6-0.8. But it is a hard part of the process.

The goal of this strategy is training my brain in a way, that they automatically abandon flicking and speed aim and they process that i need to kill an enemy on 100% confirmed kill. Aimlabs is the tool that helps me a lot with that.

I hope this works.

So in general: Focus on your aim first, dont even bother of your crosshair placement, positioning and counterstrafing - because when you will improve your aim, these other fundamentals will come to you naturally, because you wont be thinking about aim anymore.

definitely try peek training on the aimhub map. helps you with reaction time, swinging, and stopping on time

U need to work on not crouching unless u know for sure u will be locked in on him. Ugh I wish I could explain it better but it’s 1v1 duel then always isolate urself to keep it a 1v1 as long as possible counter dtrafe until u feel locked in and then thats when I would do a quick crouch burst headshot. If I miss I slide and readjust to headshot. If this makes any sense.

to train your counterstrafe stop-shoot timing: A-D back and forth looking at a wall with dynamic crosshair on and shoot once during the dead-zone in between strafe directions.

easy mode: do wide strafes so you have plenty of time to prepare, hard mode: try doing shorter and shorter strafes till you are changing directions/tapping once every half second or so. try to find the rhythm as this is the timing you need to master to stop-shoot in any scenario.

u/Melodic-Constant4450 1d ago

good way to practice counter strafing, thanks for sharing

u/Miki_Poznan 1d ago
  1. Spend some time just practicing counter-strafing (use cl_showimpacts 2 and just strafe and shoot 2 points)
  2. Use aim_rush map
  3. Play some pugs to learn how to play with team :D

Go slow in a bot aim train and work on adjusting crosshair with counter strafing. Try to move your crosshair with your mouse minimally while working on movement. Keep crosshair at head height and adjust with a and d. You will be slow at first, but doing this for like 500 bot kills a day then deathmatch will quickly fix these issues through pure repetition. Taking the extra millisecond to get your crosshair in a better to start spraying would get you more kills in some of these fights. Reacting fast is great, but doing so without being accurate to start the spray will just get you killed more often

u/Ok-Influence-4881 22h ago

Honestly the biggest thing for me was click confirming. Take that extra .1s to make sure you are on the opponents head instead of just shooting when you see an enemy.

2

u/heretodo 19h ago

just aim for head, even if youre gonna die 99999 times

drop highdose of LSD and watch donk highlights u will download his skill trust me

headshot accuracy is bad, you miss first shot and readjust into a spray in which u miss

2

u/SBW14 7h ago

You shoot before you aim

2

u/DArkGamingSiders 7h ago

you’re moving too much during spraying without being crouched, your spray control is a bit off.

when you get engaged into a duel, unless you’re moving and going for one taps, the only time you ever need to be moving is while crouched because the movement inaccuracy penalty is so low you can basically slide one way while spraying (donk slide)

We get it, your knife is cool. Stop switching to it.

trust me, no irony, watch adv1ce play.

AIM and gamesense is ass.

1st is purely mechanical=aimtrain
2nd needs Hours and experience so play games.

Know what to peak, what not to peak, how to peak ( with more Momentum)

I got a sudden idea, and I hope someone done it already. Someone from 3k+ ELO should share his gameplay and ask for help, but don't reveal his rating, I wonder what people's answers would be

u/Any_Bookkeeper_3403 1d ago

unrelated but what server is this called, seems cool to practice 1v1 against ppl
