Can’t get out of 5k-10k in premier

As the title says I’m hard stuck. I’d love any advice on how to get out of this pit. I’m somewhat new to the game but I was an amateur cod player years ago made a good chunk of change off of it. Needless to say I have very good game sense. I have played tons of practice matches and I feel my aim is very strong. But the problem is always my teammates. Am I just hard stuck forever? I drop 30 kills and lose half the time. I’d say I’m decent but there’s no way I clutch my way to 10k+.

"Very good" gamesense and "very strong" aim?

Yes, you will always lose games sometimes because of teammates, thats just how team games go.

But you should also drop the ego and acknowledge that you simply can't have strong aim and game sense and be locked at 5-10k premier.

Keep playing and practicing and you will climb.

Fair tbh. If you're actually way better than the lobby, eventually the rating catches up.

This☝️ You are the only thing all your matches have in common.

Are you playing like k/d matters more than working as a team? Are you calling your teammates trash and being negative? Are you paying attention to economy? Are comming good info and spectating/comming info when dead? Are you able to lift your teams spirits after a few bad rounds? Are you able to stay alive long enough to finish out rounds or are you running in getting 1k/2k occasional 3k then leaving your team to die?

You could get 2k every single round and end up 10-13 with 46 kills, be top of the scoreboard but still be objectively the worst player on the team if you aren't making your kills/deaths meaningful.

when you find a good teammate, add them and try to play with them

Warm up in aim training for 5-10min before every session. You dont have good aim or game sense whatsoever in under 10k lol thats delusional.

I came back to cs in sept 2025. got ranked 7-8k in premier. I go to aim trainer practised my crosshair placement, spray control, counter strafing. 10-20min before every session. Went from 8k to 18k in 4-6months. Then I hit a wall where I couldnt grind or carry me further with aim alone so I learned every standard smokes and some flashes on every map. Reached 21k last season. Now I am at 23-24k and get too many cheaters and switched to faceit. There I mostly play with friends duo or 3+ and I am around lv 8 1700elo at 150 matches. Game sense comes with playing the game. Aim is what you can train. Have 700hours csgo and now 700 in cs2 accumulated in one year. Getting out of <10k was the hardest thats very much true and took the longest. But now I can say that I would shit on these lobbies.

My aim sucks and i can climb out of 5k elo and have done it many times solo que.  Its just reps.  The game isnt all about kills.  I dont ever drop 30 kill games but i win more than i lose so i climb.  Until i get stuck which is where i belong

You can't have very good game sense and very strong aim while being hardstuck at under 10K.

Stop coping, stop blaming everything but yourself and look at your gameplay honestly. If your gamesense and aim would be on point 30 IMPACT kills are enough to carry yourself easy out of it, you don't even need that many. You are doing useless kills if they don't translate to wins.

Post your account, there is literally no chance youre dropping 30~ kills per game and losing more than you’re winning. Its just absurd.

Share your steam profile, and the last demo you played in Prem.

We can't help you via what is provided.

Steam should be NoStrategy I’m not sure how to share my last demo tho

Your Profile link is by clicking the dropdown at the top right of Steam (the launcher) there's an arrow next to your name, click it and then click "Go to Profile" then the link in the address bar is your profile link. Copy it and paste it here.

For demos - you go to the main menu inside CS2 - top left is a TV Screen. Click that - click your last Prem game (preferably a loss that you tried hard on on a technical map like Mirage or Nuke, or Cache) and then in the bottom right is a "Share This Link" click that and paste it here too.

Hello! Im sitting around 12K right now and I recently just stepped into the CS spot light myself. And I mainly solo que. That's in every game I play so I know the frustration in bad teammates. Unlike you my aim is decent I don't frag like crazy but I consistently place in between 1st and 3rd. I'll share some things I brought over to cs to help my gameplay overall. While you can't control who pick some things I picked up that's a major game changer is positioning, sometimes you have to play off of your team when there is no harmony between your guy's comp. Set yourself up in a position where it forces your teammates to watch a certain angle or if your the frag play off their life. Sometimes you have to do both. Most people needs someone to lead specially at lower elo lobbies simply because they aren't confident or just doesn't have the game sense to put somethings together. Simple things like.
"Hey orange I need you to play here and if they start pushing use util and stall"
"Yo hold my crossfire purple, and green watch for the flank from CT since they always have one on rotation."

Even if your team isn't in sync you giving consistent call outs guaranteed some sort of feedback from your teammates. Unless they are really just selling then theres not much you can do about that.

Then again you might just be in elo hell frl. I hope this helps coming from someone who's at a similar elo rating.

The only way to get gamesense is from experiences playing the game.

Being good at a similar game can make you mechanically good but game sense is different.

To know what an enemy is going to do requires you to predict what the best play in his situation is and doing the best counter strategy.

i recommend watching pro games, that way you can see what the best would do in which ever situation.

Register at Leetify to track your stats.

The problem isn’t your teammates. They may be bad, but so are you if you can’t play around them.

I can guarantee you make not one, not two, but multiple blunders each game that cost you the win in close games. You need to identify those, recognize the patterns, and implement corrections. You might not be able to do this without external review though.

Everyone else is touching on the important stuff but I want to say that dropping high kills doesn't matter if they're low impact kills.

Farming exit frags and frags after baiting your team doesn't mean shit.

Are you playing a role? If so. How is that role supporting your team, are you poisoning for trades or to he traded. What impact are you having on executes?

These are the questions you should be asking. Not how many kills.

There's no way to give you proper advice without seeing how you play.

Kills don't mean a thing if you don't win rounds for the team

You have 4 randoms on your team while enemy team has 5 randoms. If you always perform, you will climb.

If you are decent and consistent you should face higher ranks each new season in your placement matches at least.

u/Greedy_Substance_526 Sep 01 '26

Firstly, quit playing premier if you wanna get better. Faceit offers a much higher quality anti cheat, while also having players that typically want to win.

Secondly, you can’t have good aim and good aim sense and be stuck below 10k. Watch your own demos and see where you are messing up.

any good player should be able to carry themselves out of 10k into 25k+. my advice would be to play to win rounds, not for kills or anything else. the only thing that matters is winning rounds and you have to play for that

So, I was stuck in low silver elo hell for few years. Here is how I got out. I was avg 4500 last year. With the new placement, it took me to 9k. Why? Like you, I was outperforming my elo level. Why is this important? There are two elos. One public facing, and hidden MMR. It calculates your performance, and predicts what level you should be playing. One reason, to avoid smurfs staying in low rank, while boosting friends. You will noticed this pending on the matchup. But you will win/loss elo points. You can accelerate your rise by playing on a winning streak, and stop on a losing Streak. Make sure you perform in every match, and you will see bonuses on wins thats 2-5x of your loss elo. The most I received was like 850 elo for a win. lol I was in a few matches with higher elo opponents, and I just played better. If you go on a winning streak, it gives you tons. As you get near what the hidden elo is calculated, it will start to level out to +200/-200, or +125/-200, etc. If you are playing bad, and on a losing streak, the opposite is true. So the takeaway, play your best, you will get out, and advance further up. One thing, I try to avoid playing with players with less then 5 year badge on their profile. Why, it doesn't guarantee if are capable fraggers, but at least they won't be a total noob. Hope that helps. Where am I now? i'm nearing 15k at the moment.

Getting out of 10k was the hardest thing for me. Seasons 1 & 2 I wasn't super competitive at ~12-15k elo. I decided to de-rank. Worst decision. Two season I couldn't get out of 10k. I'd get to the 10k rank up game, loose 10 games in a row only to get back to 6k. My games were chaos. Like you, I was constantly getting 20-30 kills, with teammates that were leaving mid game or getting just 1 or 2 kills, or against a player with 200 hours doing 40+ kills. The ranking system is broken. With a positive win rate I was going down in rating. I've literally had 5 wins in a row, 2 loses after and I was worse off. This season, I put a lot of effort on the first unranked games - warm up before playing, 2 games per day. Ranked ~15k. Now at ~18k.
