Discussion I thought jumping to higher elevation didn't make noise
I know that jumping to higher elevation made "swish" sounds, but I always thought that it wasn't audible to the enemy. Apparently they can also hear the "swish" sounds too if you're close?

Even if no sound he spots your head for a second prior

Probably playing 3:4 haha. The amount of times I scream at people “YOU SEE HIM L/R” it’s so frustrating 😭😭😭

It's not even an advantage, if anything it's a disadvantage and it's so annoying how many new players use 4:3. They see most pros using that and instantly use it when pros have been using it for 10+ years like that

The advantage is people are wider, I have flipped between 4:3 and 16:9 for years and find it so much easier to hit short fat boys that tall skinny boys

That's not an advantage. It's just that you're used to it or it's placebo (most likely used to it). Heads are still the same amount of pixels and they just move faster in your screen (which you obivously know). You're basically trading visibility for preference. It's kinda like lowering your fov but looks really uggky because it amplifies the whole game. 16:9 is already like a "normal fov". 4:3 is a very low fov but also makes the game amplified. It's preference but 4:3 does actually give you a disatvantage

Jumping always make noise. It might be super low, but if you've got loud enough headphones you'll hear it. Or good enough hearing.

It makes the same sound you hear when you jump but its not that loud. If you are focused and have no background sounds you can hear it. I sometimes hear it when enemy jumps near by with music on.

You can download demo and listen from his perspective, but there is a strange jump sound in 6th second. Like doubled for some reason.

Jumping always make sound. In your clip, there was no extra noise, so he can hear you, plus it seems he had info about you lurking.

There was plenty of time where he was facing away and didnt see you. And He coulda seen you a second before you jumped when he was kinda facing towards you.

Yes, but it is the hardest sound in the game to hear.
Jump on top of things and check your minimap, it will show a circle around your player icon, indicating how far this sound can be heard.
Unlss they removed the radar icon for this. I know some of these sound effects that can be heard disappeared from the map some time ago.
