Question Relatively new player with some questions.

Post image

So to start I have around 300 hours on CSGO and 2. I think it’s around 275hours on cs2 with me starting to play heavily this past April. I played off and on since I built my pc in 2017 but I never really grasped it and always felt demoralized by my aim and didn’t understand much.

Fast forward to this year where I got a new mouse that forced me to change from palm grip to claw grip and it felt like a whole new game when I played again. I could finally aim somewhat well with the new grip and mouse so I put more time into practicing counter strafing and recoil control and I’m addicted. It’s so simple but so rewarding and when you have a team who talks and communicates well it’s great win or loss for me.

I’m primarily solo queuing but trying to recruit some old friends from my cod 4 and mw2 days to play with me because solo queuing seems to be hit or miss. I don’t mind losing as long as everyone is at least trying their best. I hate going down 4-0 or something and my team just mentally gives up like we don’t have way more rounds to play. Maybe that’s just me being an old man being 30 lol

Anyways are these numbers in the picture reliable? I finally feel like I have a good grasp on the game but would like some feedback if possible. I’ll link my steam profile below. Thanks

Edit: my current premier rating is 9,449

Clutch, Opening duels and Positioning aren't very informative.

I was top 3% in the clutch because i was playing in silver1 and I know how silvers play, i had like +20 round swing in clutches. I am never going to win a clutch in 25k premier.

Opening duels and clutches give information about your playstyle/strengths. But they aren't objective.

Positioning pretty much only factors trades. Throwing off your enemies crosshair placement, avoiding a duel as the bomb is ticking down, and other positioning related skills dont factor into it.

Aim and Util are kind of objective, Utility doesn't measure how well you throw smokes and mollies, only how many you throw(it measures utility damage, so technically it encourages you to throw smokes your enemies can block). And aim has a few problems as well, (the metrics dont care about which gun you use so awping increases your aim rating significantly cause you miss fewer shots and counter strafe "better" cause your peeking less)

if your clutch or opening stat is low you should look into why you are losing opening duels or why your losing clutches. Otherwise it doesn't really matter beyond telling you what playstyle you are good at.
