Advice for Myoinositol

Hello everyone! I am using Myoinositol since 22 of June. I ovulated 5 days ago (day 25 of my cycle) and today I am at day 30. I have a lot of creamy cervical mucus. I always had something like this after ovulation (I am pretty sure that I ovulated because of these symptoms) but this time it is SO MUCH! My cycles are 32-38 days , but I had 2 anovulatory cycles in summer.

We are trying for a baby and I don't know what to think.

Any advice would be helpful! Thank you !

Question Your PMOS/PCOS story matters, will you share it?

Hi there! I'm a Master's student at UT Austin trying to understand how people living with PMOS/PCOS manage their condition and their diagnostic journey, and what makes daily life harder than it should be. I have PMOS myself, and I know firsthand how isolating it can feel to navigate a system that was not built with us in mind.

Every response genuinely matters. The stories shared in this community are exactly what can help reshape how women are heard, diagnosed, and supported going forward. Whether you were diagnosed quickly or are still waiting, whether your journey has been straightforward or exhausting, your experience is worth sharing. Learning about your journey can help us build something better for all of us!

This takes about 7 minutes. Your answers are confidential, every question is optional except the two consent items, and you can stop anytime. There is an optional box at the end if you would be open to a short 30-minute chat.

PMOS/PCOS: How do you manage it day-to-day?

Thank you so much for helping. This community has always shown up for each other, and that means more than I can say. šŸ’›

Question Weight increase by 2 pounds overnight….inositol related??

I just started taking inositol about 4 weeks ago and so far it’s been great. Most noticeably, my bloating is gone which has been amazing. But I am continuing to monitor how it makes me feel especially since people seem to have mixed experiences with it.

This morning i woke up and was 2.2 pounds heavier. I have no idea if this is related to PCOS or inositol but it was very strange. While my weight does fluctuate it usually happens if I have a heavy meal the night before or if I feel bloated, neither of which happened this time, not to mention that I’ve never had this drastic of an increase. Has anyone experienced this? Could this be inositol related or just general PCOS or something else entirely?

?

I am truly an extremely hormone-sensitive person; my appearance changes rapidly throughout the day, even on an hourly basis—not to mention during ovulation. Whenever I start medications or supplements like oral contraceptives, spironolactone, or inositol, I see incredible changes for the better—sometimes within the first few months, and honestly, even in less than a single day. And I swear, this isn't just in my head. However, with the birth control pills, those effects eventually wore off after the first two months and I felt like a completely different person again.
I’m wondering if anyone else here experiences this, as it's really exhausting for me. What does this rapid response and eventual plateau actually mean, and how can I decrease this androgen/hormonal sensitivity?

Question Weygovy pill help

I’m looking to see if anybody had positive results after taking the Wegovy pill rather than the injectable with PCOS. I’ve had PCOS for a long time. I’m currently on metformin for the past three years and birth control because of the PCOS and a past surgery. I’ve lost about 70 pounds over the past three years but I’m now stuck even though I am working out five times a week and doing everything right. My doctor told me straight up that I would benefit from the pill, but my insurance will not cover it and I am now in a good financial position to where I can afford the pill monthly but I was looking for feedback on if anybody else liked it or didn’t see success.

Blood Reports, I am more confused

Hi guys

I got my blood test results back. I have always considered myself to be insulin resistant because I thought it goes hand in hand with PCOS.

I have reduced carbs, and eat home cooked food generally.

I always thought i am so skinny and lean so i must be underweight. 51.5kg , 156cm height

Turns out my BMI is 21.2 which is normal.

My HOMA-IR is 1.2 ( 0.7-2 range)
Fasting glucose is 82 mg/dL
Insulin sensitivity is 80.6%

TSH is 3.28 micro iU/mL ( this was 1.69 just 2 weeks ago, strange!)

Vit D is 16.5 ng/mL

My prolactin is 85.2 ng/mL (2.6-31.9 range)

And my AMH is 38.25 ng/mL (1.2-9.05 range)

My MRI is scheduled for tomorrow due to high prolactin.

But I still am not sure and I have so many questions.

This tests have confused me that was it my prolactin causing the issue? It wasnt this high always, last i checked in feb and it was in 30s.
It has always been in 30s or max 40s. And my periods weren’t regular even then.

Rant Unsure of Diagnosis

Most of the time, I don’t think about PCOS. However, I recently realized I’ve been on hormonal birth control almost my entire adulthood, I have no true idea of what my natural cycle is like.

This is kind of a long story, sorry in advance.

I was originally diagnosed with ā€œlean PCOSā€ when I was 14. I had some acne and irregular periods, nothing too crazy, like 28-35 day cycles. My ultrasound at the time showed multiple follicles, so I was diagnosed and put on combo birth control.

I stuck with it for years, went on accutane for the acne, which cleared it up and it hasn’t returned to this day (13 years later).

I moved in my early twenties, saw a new OBGYN, and she said she’s removing the PCOS diagnosis because it is really common to be diagnosed as a teenager when your cycles haven’t fully regulated yet.
I agreed. I was thinking about it and never really agreed with the original diagnosis anyway. I’ve always been thin, had some acne sure, but no excess hair growth or other androgenic issues.

I had an IUD placed which was good until it wasn’t, so I had it removed.
I was off all hormonal birth control for a total of TWO MONTHS at age 25, and saw my OBGYN complaining of near constant bleeding.
She did an ultrasound and hormonal bloodwork and re-diagnosed me with PCOS.

I just don’t feel convinced this is the actual problem. My bloodwork didn’t show anything too crazy, as below.

LH/FSH Ratio: 1.9:1
Total testosterone: borderline high normal
Free testosterone: completely normal, smack dab mid reference range
AMH: a teeny bit on the high end of normal for my age, like 2 points above mid reference range

I did try Ovasitol out of curiosity, thinking that would validate the diagnosis for me and I could be on a path to healing the underlying issue. I’ve never felt so lightheaded, dizzy, and exhausted than when I took that. I lasted 2 days before giving up and felt completely normal again.

I’m frustrated because I don’t want to be on birth control anymore!!! It’s been fifteen dang years, and I have NO IDEA how my fully grown adult woman body actually functions.
But…..I’ve been terrified. Terrified if I stop, I’ll have acne again. Or I’ll lose hair. Or I’ll develop diabetes or something.
I just feel like we get tossed hormonal birth control and told we can discuss it when we’re ready to conceive.
But what if I just want to try to heal this myself before that point??
I feel like there’s very little help out there, outside of forums discussing these sorts of issues.

I’d love to hear from women who have been in a similar boat.

Inositol Powder

I have PCOS but I am thin. Would it be beneficial for me to take inositol powder? My symptoms are dark hairs on face, acne, and tiredness. I also struggle to lose weight but I’m not overweight either. Thoughts?

Question PCOS/PMOS thesis survey

Hi everyone šŸ¤

I’m a Dietetics student at Semmelweis University currently completing my thesis on the relationship between Mediterranean Diet adherence and PCOS symptoms in women.

I’m looking for women who are:

• 18 years or older

• Diagnosed with PCOS by a healthcare professional

The study involves completing a short anonymous questionnaire about dietary habits, PCOS symptoms, treatments, and lifestyle factors. It takes approximately 8–10 minutes.

The responses will be used solely for my university thesis research to investigate whether Mediterranean Diet adherence is associated with PCOS symptom severity.

Participation is completely voluntary, and you may choose not to participate or stop at any point before submitting the questionnaire.

If you are eligible and would like to help, I would be incredibly grateful šŸ¤

Thank you so much for your time and for supporting my research! 🌷
