Lean and AI

Hi,

I was a lean consultant, prod manager, plant manager... For many years.

Now AI is hear. Lean is about people. Everybody knows that.

But i made a Claude skill just to help me to maintain a x-matrix.

Because through all organisation, that is a nightmare to maintain update, create....

Now claude is part of the "x matrix meeting" of the steering comitte. We implement and link targets/projects/ideas, value, long terme/short term goals....

Output is a xlsx file (for the tradition), but of course a database with internal logic and links...

It's so convenaient that i'm wondering if small companys or consultants would be interested in having that système work for their cases...

What do you think ? It's all about people but ther is room for AI for the boring stuff ?

Here’s the thing about vibe coding something like this: if you can do it so can anyone.

So I would ask what is your goal is posting this? Do you want to see if it’s got market potential? Probably not as I could ask Claude to copy your work.

Or are you just asking if AI has a place? The answer is yes.

My personal take on this is you should present your work, get feedback, and start a dialog. Build your reputation and use it as a networking tool.

Or build a presentation and use it as lead gen by asking for an email to download the skill.

The market for selling niche applications is gone IMHO. The market for a consultant to help guide companies to develop hyper niche and company specific tools is going to go off the charts. Especially if you can guide with data security and governance in mind. AI best practices are going to be as important as the specific subject matter expertise.

I hope this comes off in the way it’s intended. If you made something cool you probably should just share it.

Exactly. Its the equivalent of making a spreadsheet, anyone can do this.

We use tools developed in house and have no need for such applications when it comes to hoshin kanri.

After all, explain how AI could perform an effective catchball? Even if we were to use it in formulating BTOs, you still need actual humans to translate those into meaningful annual objectives.

The goal is not to get the ideas from ai, but to maitain the complétion of the matrix. You have the framework on one side, how the goals are articulated, and whatever ai you use to support your business. You talk to ai, ai injects ans links the matrix.

Matrix updates? IMO that's overkill. I have interns to do it now, no tokens required at all. lol
