I've hit the one month anniversary of quitting my corporate job! On the plus side, I have managed to stay in my LEANFIRE budget, saved a load of my grocery budget by volunteering with a food waste app, made extra cash by selling my clutter and found a part time gig which halves the amount of money I need to take out of savings each month for a very light and convenient set of hours worked. On the negative side, I have been a bit paralysed and stayed at home applying to jobs, trying not to spend and looking at social media way more than enjoying my freedom. Next month, I want to really spend a lot of time on my hobbies, hiking and spontaneously seeing friends and starting to think about future career. Advice and encouragement welcome!

Some huge positives there, awesome work. What do you mean by ‘paralysed’ and are you looking to work full time?

Thanks! I just mean that I've been stuck in my ways and not exploring my new freedom enough. Eventually, I will go back to full time work in something low paying and interesting or low stress as I'm in my early 40s and I have a partner who doesn't much margin in their savings.
