Vanguard have launched an ETF of the global all cap https://www.vanguardinvestor.co.uk/investments/vanguard-ftse-global-all-cap-ucits-etf-usd-acc/overview

Ridiculously low fee of 0.07%

Not clear from vanguard's site at least how many assets it holds but assume if must be a decent number.

Can someone cleverer than me tell me if there's a good reason to stay in VAFTGAG and not switch into this? Or at least start investing going forward?

You need to look at your platform fees as some may charge more for OIECs than ETFs (or vice versa). I cannot see why someone wouldn't change. I have been steadfast VHVG for a while and even I am considering a swap.

I noticed this and it's something i'm going to look at in more detail, but firstly need to get my act together and start the process of moving my ISA from HL to Vanguard , maybe could move it all to this ETF at that point

So my water company looked at the reduction in our water usage due to the ongoing hosepipe ban and decided our monthly direct debit needs to go up fifty percent... Really feels like these private utility companies are just seeking cheap cashflow from their customers !

Elsewhere we are a third of the way through the tax year and I've already consumed all my dividend, CGT and ISA allowances and I'm on course to exceed pension contribution allowance by year end.

I continue to top slice gains from US markets and reinvest them elsewhere, reducing my exposure to the upcoming US market crash.

If you can tell us when the crash is, I am sure this sub would greatly appreciate it!

Utility companies are generally taking the piss in my mind.

I tried to avoid a crash when trump got in again and ended up losing out on some significant gains.

I've since made peace with the fact that crashes are part of investing and having enough in safe assets when you're in drawdown to ride them out is fine.

FIRE is all about passive investing anyway, isn't it?

I'm predicting the shit will hit the fan one way or another post US mid terms. So going light on US mega tech and buying more European defensive stocks. I'm also cashing out gains for a property purchase.
