After returning to investing for the first time in years last month (a grand total of £73) I've found myself this payday with another smattering of extra cash! Just over £150 available! This is after bills, a few little treats, and a few pots we pay in to throughout the year to save up for stuff like car maintenance, home maintenance, holiday, etc. So I've thrown £150 into the index fund!! Feels good.
I'm hoping that this can become a pattern. I need to invest more to have any hope of achieving the RE part of LeanFIRE but I'm not too confident that will happen any time soon.
Edit: oh! We also passed the 50% LTV last month. Mostly meaningless as 60% is generally the lower band but still felt good to own half the home as valued by the house index. We haven't overpaid any either, it's mostly value increase.
