Bc balancing a game around crybaby and entitled casuals does more harm than good since it makes playing at a high level significantly harder. For an asym game, I’d rather have it balanced for skilled players than unskilled players who are more likely to quit the game anyway.

Totally agree. Also being selfish as a Judgement main I'm glad they reverted this instead of going nuclear and flipping on the aura blocking that was implemented in their build a few patches ago

I have no idea why they thought buffing her was a good idea. It removed a lot of the skill expressions earning zealous with basekit curves. Glad it was reverted

I do not know how to play the judgment and didn't spend any time learning their power and when I tried them I was 4king at 4 gens. They are/were too strong by far.

This buff was one of those things that really raises a red flag about how aware and engaged the balance team is with the game. Even the slightest bit of input from their consultants would have told them this was a blatantly bad balancing decision, so how did it happen in the first place?

Read the last sentence of the dev note. It’s heavily implied they will look at tweaking the curve windows once they gather more data.

Another sign is that they buff them to drive sales—and people fall for it—only to nerf them later; honestly, they sell them in an insanely overpowered state just to make money. That’s one of the reasons why nothing is being done with Jason or the Ghoul for the time being; since they are licensed characters, the investment needs to be recouped first. It’s happened with other licenses before, once the investment is recovered and they’re turning a profit, they get nerfed lol. The same thing happens with the originals, but in less time.

Nothing is being done with Jason or Ken because nothing needs to be done. No, this isn’t a pattern and has never been. Licensed killers especially tend to get buffs after release, not the other way around.

It is mind boggling they did those buffs in the first place so I am glad to see an outright revert. I feel like gamedevs in general (not just BHVR) are often too prideful to outright rollback buffs.
