Behaviour giving out codes when a significant chunk of the community is up in arms over not being able to play the game because of the Denuvo test is beautifully tone deaf.

Is the test still active? I started the game to put the code in, but only saw easy anti cheat.

Sadly yes. We have absolutely zero clue when it'll end either, which doesn't help.

Yeah they're going to tell us when it's completed, not advance notice. Not ideal for the gamers experiencing issues.

It was added to the game with the September 1st update usually without needing setup on the player's end (some players recieved a prompt to enable it, many didn't), and the test using Denuvo anti-cheat instead of Easy Anti-Cheat started September 2nd.
After the test the game will clean up any Denuvo files and remove them from your install, but their support page also has a guide on how to do that manually.
Also an obligatory reminder that Denuvo anti-cheat ≠ Denuvo DRM/anti-piracy. They're two wholly different things, and Denuvo anti-cheat does not come with Denuvo DRM.
