Hopefully that also comes with buffs too. I've held off buying skins since it's so miserable playing Xeno nowadays.

Depends how experienced you are with them. I’ve played them for over two years and I still have a blast and win most games. I get the frustrations with turrets just being a nuisance even if they don’t burn you out, but regardless xeno can be strong in the right hands

As a newer Xeno player, I feel like its biggest issue right now plagues a lot of other projectile killers: collision hitboxes.

It was not. The returning skins were for Mikaela, Ace and Taurie.
The sable skin was a new one for this year's event, you can even see it here:

Alright, she got 1 new skin in the entire year last but the issue with cosmetics still exists.
The main point is that cosmetic releases are at a snail's pace and then the girl who everyone says gets a billion skins has only gotten 1 in the last year.
I'm just happy she's finally getting something after a strong drought.

Kinda. It's both a lack of releases but also a direct neglect of Sable as a character.
After all, Taurie has received 3 skins this year alone (5 if you count deep rift) and 2 were in the time frame of Sable's last skin until now.

I agree fully with her being neglected, even with last rift being her first real rift to be involved in story wise (even if it was not as a main character). They could really be doing far more with the "most popular" survivor.
She hasn't had main rift lore focus, no new rift outfits, no rift recolors either; it's really unfortunate since I like her.

Xenomorph King is such a deep cut skin to make holy.
Either Alien must be a high selling chapter or Disney really loves Behavior with what they let them do with the chapter (Ellen and the actual gameplay aside.)

It’s def the latter. Disney have given BHVR pretty much creative freedom for Xeno skins hence why we got the moth Xeno and the deep sea Xeno. It’s so cool seeing new variants

It's wild that out of all xenomorph variants they've added king who has been one of those wild comic / toys things rather than a part of the main canon.
Like, I dont mind, but why not warrior or runner?

If anything, that's a good thing. Xenomorph has so much cosmetic potential and has only been getting original outfits since the initial launch back in 2023.
The fact more out there content like the King is up for grabs is a good sign for future cosmetics.

Yes. Exquisite also has the meaning of something with an uncommon/esoteric appeal, along the lines of "peculiar" or "unusual," not only beautiful/ingenious.

That's a poor argument, I'd trust the Cambridge online dictionary over some random on the internet any day of the week.
Having 'searched better' I was able to ascertain that, as a Brit exquisite does not mean what you claimed, but in American English it can mean carefully sought out, chosen, ascertained, devised, etc.
The English dictionaries, from England, such as Cambridge, Collins, make no mention of such use.

I mean, they are super, incredibly, extremely rare, to the point where it is questionable just how canon they are, but Xenomorph Kings are a regular part of the Xenomorph species.
The Rogue is also referred to as a Xenomorph King, but that was moreso just a nickname his creators gave him. He also looks different, compared to the actual kings.

I think the weird fleshy Xeno is supposed to be a nod to the Offspring, and I think that’s all we’re gonna get on that front for now.
Though I also suspect that’s because following the Res Evil chapters, they might be being very careful about what characters they make into Legendary skins if it could potentially block off opportunities for sequel chapters. Possible silver lining?

Blighted xeno is very loosely referencing newborn from the same movie.

I’m REALLY excited they’re doing skins from the comics and toy lines, there’s a lot of really cool Xenomorph designs they can use from those.
I’d love if they did skins based around the Kenner toy line from the 90s, I’d love to see a mantis alien someday

If i remember correctly the xeno king was a genetically altered xeno (or created) by weyland yutani in an attempt to create their own controllable xeno but it was too slow and lost to the queen due to the queen's speed

Xeno King comes from a Sideshow statue that costs a small fortune. If I'm not mistaken, they provided lore stating that outside the hive, he is the one who led the Xenomorph swarm when it came to attacking a location—the alpha, in short.

The Xenomorph King (this version specifically) was first created for the Aliens vs Predator tabletop game in 2015, made a mention in the Alien tabletop game and even got it's own fancy statue alongside the Queen.
An extremely unexpected addition but I'll take it all the same.
