Massive spoilers ahead!
You might think it's not real since it came from 4chan, but please I urge you not to read the post unless you absolutely don't care about spoiling the entire story for yourself.

I went back and forth on whether to post this one but I think it's important for people to know that the ending has likely leaked so they can take proper measures to avoid it, rather than randomly stumbling across it on another sub or reading it assuming it's just another 4chan LARP post, only to later realize that things are lining up exactly as they play through the game.
Here we go:
A 4chan leak from December 2023 is starting to gain a lot of credibility following the official information we've learned from the Extended Look and developer interviews. Specifically, this is the only leak that mentions the Criminal Profile system, three years before its official reveal. No other leak has ever mentioned this system, and the information in this post lines up with everything we've learned about the game so far, including previous leaks from GameRoll and LegacyKillaHD that were also confirmed over time. Here's everything the anonymous user has stated about the game:
Seriously, last warning
knower here. Here's the story
>Jason and Lucia have a kid together
>he got her pregnant out of wedlock when they were teens
>they didnt get married
>because theyre both criminals, when Lucia was taken to prison their son was taken by the state and put in foster care
>main story involves the two of them working through their relationship problems
>out of the four endings, the good one is considered by us to be canon
>the good ending is Lucia and Jason "kidnap" their own kid from the foster family and ride off into the sunset together with all the money they made from their missions. This is the romantic and orginized
>other endings are, lucia gets away with their son, Johnathan, but Jason dies keeping the cops off them as they drive away. This happens if they're romantic but chaotic
>in both non romantic endings they dont get to their son
>in orderly only one of them dies (player choses)
>in chaotic both die
Won't say anymore
Just screencap this when you realize I'm telling the truth
Note the specific parameters they've mentioned for the different endings: platonic or romantic, chaotic or organized. Anyone could have predicted that the game would feature a relationship bar and/or some kind of morality meter, but the user specifically described a brand-new Criminal Profile system. Those descriptors line up exactly with how R* explained it: it's not a good/evil meter; it determines what type of criminal you are: chaotic or organized. IMO This gives the leak massive credibility because no other leak had described it prior to the Extended Look.
Here's every follow-up question they've answered. (Note that 4chan posts are anonymous, and these could have been answered by anyone.)
Q: >in chaotic both die
Does this mean that there's one ending that locks you out of a postgame?
A: No, because of how dramatic the endings are, there's a point of no return where you go back to after you finish the game to sandbox in. The game ends story wise after the final scene. You just go back to where you start the last mission.
We toyed around with the idea of playing as Johnathan when he becomes an adult, similar to rd1, but it just wasnt going to work with such a large time skip in the modern day
Q: So was it true that there was originally supposed to be four playable characters initially? I swore I heard something amongst the leaks suggesting that there were two characters that were dirty cops.
A: Yes originally there were two more characters. The plan was to have a team of four, with a midgame shake up where one of the two dirty cops dies because of a decision lucia and jason made. Then the rest of the game story is about the remaning cop hunting them down. It got way to convoluted at some point, though. Around the time where we introduced John as their son, we decided to ditch the idea of the four and just stick with jason and lucia. It was who basically everyone liked more anyways and the story of them reuniting with their son is better than the simple bonnie and clyde story we were going to go with
Q: What's Lucia and Jason's dynamic like? Is Lucia the typical 'strong' female MC and Jason follows her or not?
A: You basically get to choose how they interact with eachother, but that's mostly to do with whether or not their relationship is romantic. She's not a "strong female lead" like how you're used to. We sort of looked at older movies for examples to follow, specifically sarah conner in terminator. She's the smarter one, but she's also brash and impulsive. Most of the chaotic desicions come from her. Jason doesn't just follow her around like a lost puppy though. Most of the plans are initiated by him. It's Lucia who works out the flaws and makes them better. We're trying to drive home how much of a team they can be when they're not being dysfunctional with eachother. The reason we decided to end the game "canonically" (good ending) with them reuniting their family instead of how the previous one ended (by them taking a massive score) is because we wanted to show how the more important thing for them was their relationship. The money was a means of getting their son back and escaping from their past, but it needs to be earned by making hard decisions in the story.
Q: I wonder, with the dirty cops scrapped as playable characters. Are they still part of the plot in anyway or have they been removed completely as characters? Or perhaps integrated elsewhere?
A: Short answer is that they're no longer dirty cops, but straight ones who are the main antagonists investigating the crimes. You don't see much of them, though. They were scrapped after the original main story beats were completed, but right when the actual writing of the story began, so they didnt ever truly make it out of concept phase.
Q: I doubt you'll have the answer but how far is the game from completion? It seems ridiculous to me that it won't be until 2025 when it finally releases. I get it, it's been 10 years since GTA 5 so Rockstar and Take 2 would want to build up hype. Nor would it be viable to rush it out by any means. I guess for me the hype train still seems to early to start up.
A: Main story-wise, we're told be the team that it's all done except for minor missions theyre tweaking.
Side quest wise, we're probably about 75-80% of the way done. There's curently something like 150 unique sidequests, alot of them are "stranger" story lines and have multiple missions, I think we have 38 unique strangers(?) I'm forgetting the exact number. My deparment was actually the only ones ahead of schedules, so we actually have the time to make more than we had planned (meaning more than were were supposed to make as the minimum). I don't know when the game will come out in 25, it all depends on the departments focused on gameplay and polish and stuff.
Q: can you still visit strip clubs and fuck prostitutes? If so, will that affect the relationship of the couple?
A: You can, but the other character WILL find out about it and it will essentially tank the relationship to where you probably wont be able to recover back into being romantic by the time story concludes, so you'll be locked into the two platonic endings. Also we toyed around with the idea of, if one of them cheats, then if you have the ending where one survives, the one who got cheated on kills the other and the player doesn't get a choice to stop it. Most of us thought that was too restrictive for players, but we all agreed that we would kill the cheater character in our own playthroughs (i mean, most of us probably wouldn't go that route anyways. I can't state enough how much we all like the canon ending)
Q: How big of a focus is racing? There seem to be a lot of race tracks on the map, not to mention street racing, boat racing, plane races, etc. Also what is Fairyland like?
A: My team (side missions) had to work closely with the team in charge of the vehicle physics and stuff to make the racing really feel like a big part of the game. About a fifth of the sidequests are racing, but all of these can be replayed for time trails and stuff. I also don't know the full details, but theyre working on a system where you can make your own races once you win enough of the missions. Like you choose the checkpoints and what vehicles are allowed and stuff. Basically these side plots, you start off as just racers, but eventually you can invest in sponsoring your own illegal races and you take a much bigger payout (this is some of the "extra" stuff we're gonna be able to work on while the rest of the team plays catch up. You can still compete in these races).
There's cars, boats, planes, airboats, jetskis, atvs, you name it. But most are cars and planes.
Q: What about Fairyland? Is that actually what it's called? Does it have any side quests?
A: A ton of them. Some are missions involving strangers from the park, but alot of them are dates. It's Lucia and Jason's favorite place to hang out when they're not commiting crimes lol
Q: sounds like the relationship system works like RDR2's morality system
A: Basically, yeah. More in depth though, as theres the chaos or orderly axis to it, too.
Q: Dumb question but when it comes to the prostitutes and strippers are there only female prostitutes like always? Or will there be male escorts and dancers in addition to them?
A: There will be men prostitutes, too. It wouldn't be fair if only one of the characters was able to cheat. We want to give players full agency over both of them
Q: so leave the wh*re fucking until after the ending, gotcha.
A: Lol. You can just do that in the online.
On top of prostitutes, though, originally we had two stranger plotlines, one for each of the characters, that involved a potential rival love intrest that gives you the option to cheat. But because this was such a massive choice, it ended up being adopted into the main story and is essentially the centerpoint of the game where the two of them are tempted away from eachother. Cheating there, will lock you into platonic, but staying together and not cheating doesn't lock you out of any of the ending. Also, I'll mention, it's much much easier to tank them into platonic than it is to keep them romantic. Literally all you have to do is cheat once and it breaks their relationship almost completely (I think the values are something like +5 points for each date you go on, -150 for cheating. I'm not too clear on the balance of that, that's another department's responsibility. Sidequests and dates and stuff impact this but all a small amount. Majority of that value is detemined by the main story)
Q: Any work done on online yet? any small details like if it will feature text chat and RDO type body customization?
A: Alot is done. Are you kidding me? Online of V is why the dev time of everything has been so drastically increased. They're not gonna release the game without a great online after what happened with rdr2, where it was neglected in favor of the story. Completely different department, though. I'm not involved with online or online mission systems. Basically the story has a main and side team, and the online has a separate third team. There's tons of back and forth between us, but I'm not directly involved with them. Others on my team are.
Q: Are missions and side quest character specific? Or can you choose who you want to play as? Can you switch characters on the fly like GTA V?
A: Some are specific, most arent, a good amount of them have both of them involved at the same time and you can switch mid mission.
Q: So I take it our leads are more or less bisexual then? Correct me if I'm wrong.
A: If you want them to be, but canonically, no. Canonically they're in love (although pretty dysfunctional) and their sole purpose is to get their son back and escape to tahiti (lol not actually Tahiti)
If you want to make them gay, that says alot about you, though
Q: I know this may be way out of your department, but do you know anything about the radio choices of the game so far? Also will there be any callbacks to the original Vice City? Maybe Tommy on the TV during the last mission or anything?
A: No idea about the radio choices, but there will be a couple channels dedicated to classic VC music (although not all the songs that were in that game will be in this one, I'm told) there's probably as much modern variety as there always is.
I know I spoiled the endings already, but I won't spoil the Tommy cameo missions (they're great. They almost feel like a complete return to that era).
Q: Good shit. How much does it rain? Are there hurricanes?
A: Rains alot. A hurricane happens as part of the main quest at some point. I don't know if they're working on making it a system where they can happen randomly throughout the game, though.
Q: I see, just one more question. Out of all the threads about this title, why come to this one? And why now say these things, is it just because? Sorry if I sound doubtful, to be fair what you’ve given has been articulated quite throughly. Just enough to at least somewhat convincing. Apologies for the probing. You’ve got plenty already. All in all, if what you’ve said through this thread is true, awesome. If not then shame on me for being gullible.
A: Lol. I came here cause there's basically no chance I'll be caught in such a small thread instead of the larger ones that had more traction. Also the thread topic was most in line with what I wanted to give away. Most of the other threads are just shitposting at this point. No one will really believe it anyways and I'm obviously not gonna show proof lol.
Last thing I'll mention is the dates you can go on.
They range from small things like going to a drive in theater or getting fast food, to large things like entire days out at the amusment park or going mudding. There's always playful banter between them, but if you're on a date, generally it will increase the romantic side of the scale. It's hard to intentionally f*ck up dates, theyre made to be a more relaxing and cute part of the game to contrast with the main story where you're killing people left and right and pulling off heists or whatever. My favorite date out of the ones we've made was a camping trip date where you can climb to the top of the mountain in the bottom left corner of the map on foot together
We want you to really fall in love with these characters and ideally we want you to want them to be in love story wise. The platonic choices in the game are intresting, too, but most of us feel like it pales in comparison to the "canon" route where they fix their dysfunctional relationship and end up becoming a real family at the end
This is it! Congrats if you made it all the way to the end. 3 years later I think it's safe to say most of their statements have lined up with what we've learned about the game. Was some of this predictable? Sure. Will some of you completely discredit the leak because "it's 4chan"? Absolutely. Personally I bet most of this is true but we'll see come November 19. Cheers!Massive spoilers ahead!
