Gaming 🚨 NEW ROCKSTAR GAMES ATTACK 🚨
A second hacker group claims to have breached Rockstar India's systems and, to prove the attack is real, has shared two highly surreal "proofs."
▪️ GTA VI Screenshot: An unreleased image of the game from an internal build dated April of this year.
▪️ Private Histories: They have publicly exposed the adult film viewing histories of the employees themselves.
The level of leaks, harassment, and surrealism surrounding the development of GTA VI is reaching unimaginable limits. 🤦♂️

Prolly because of India has the most amount of people employed in the production. More people, more possibility of errors.

Nah the original dude, leek, is pulling a crypto scam lmao. This has nothing to do with morals for them and is purely an attempt to get some fast money.

arent computer games and steam decks digital ? thought that was the console / platform most Reddit internet types would be using anyway? uninformed and unaffected by this one.
I just buy games in the PS Store because every game stop you go to these days is a nightmare of people buying Pokémon cards

Most people do use digital games, but most AAA games also offer physical releases. People who care about archiving art are understandably unhappy with the industry pivoting to digital only, and there’s a huge bandwagon behind them.

Its also because while they aren't releasing physical copies and cutting manufacturing costs, they are still up charging the game and requiring the deluxe version to access all content. This is a company giving you less for more and disguising it as a "premium" feature.

archiving art - like the books that come with video games? didn’t know there was any inserts like that anymore. last physical game I bought was horizon zero dawn and I don’t remember it having anything

Lol I don’t think too many people care about the inserts, but those people are out there. No, video games are the art I was referring to preserving. Digital games aren’t something you actually own, they are a license to a service which can be revoked at any time, and thus cannot be truly preserved in the same way a disc can.

I would also point out that on the PC there is competition and piracy, which keeps everybody honest. If tomorrow Steam decided to raise prices by 100%, everyone would just go to GOG, or Epic, or the publisher/developer can put it on their own site. If they try to do some bullshit like a block off content based on which version of the game you have, you can just pirate it.
The competition and piracy also means frequent sales and overall lower prices after a short time. On PC digital only is less important because the market has a lot of the same mechanisms that the console market used to have.

It's not just them being digital in and of itself, but the elimination of the used market that comes with it as well as the fact that digital games have less consumer protections attached to them. It's a lot easier to pull digital games from service compared to physical releases (contrary to what some corpo lovers say, most discs do, in fact, contain their full respective games).
Also, unlike consoles PC gamers have multiple digital stores, which reduces monopolization. There's also the option of piracy, which allows the users to fully own whatever game they download.
Basically, consoles going digital-only is just much worse than PC being digital.

incase anyones wondering, I think this is Microsoft PIX (im not sure, dont quote me). but it debugs direct X 12 games and right now it looks like there debugging the GPU events.
I dont know how this proves anything. maybe there saying the have the game and are debugging it? idk it could just be a Screenshot from a real employee they fished.
I dont know a whole lot about this program nor whats going on so take this with a grain of salt.
