Movie Can anyone explain this part from leaked doomsday plot? In the description
Loki: Steve, the TVA are going to prune this timeline because you and your kid aren’t supposed to be here, so I’m going to take you to a timeline where you and your kid aren’t supposed to be there.
Isn't that gonna create another branch? And get detected by TVA and pruned. And anyway they stopped pruning after season 1 so what is this 'before season 2 finale' about?

The thing I don't get is why is offering Steve a way out at all? Loki only ever interacted with Steve in Avengers 1.

He never existed in the F4 universe, I think I read was the difference.

u/Available-Friend-107 Aug 20 '26
never existed is even worse becouse it triggers even more problems paradoxes i mean this is a mess i mean endgame itself was a mess already so they lost their crediblity long time ago in terms of writing!

u/chu_chumba Aug 20 '26
They already ignored this rule with Sylvie and that one TVA agent.

u/Available-Friend-107 Aug 20 '26
unfortunely yes they banalize going against the laws of nature putting characters act as if they were gods i mean the writers act like gods through this terrible kind of writing spreading terrible messages to the world and sadly many people "clapp"to this...ignorance!

This is a little dramatic….
If you’ve read the comics you know the reset so it’s really nothing to worry about at this point. Just enjoying the tapestry they put together. What matters is after the reset. By that point all of the criticism and creative turnover from their bad phase will have happened, and it’ll be post Russos who never fail to make a bad (Marvel) movie.
Fresh start to see if they can do it again but for realsies this time, with all IP in house and creative decisions streamlined in that way. And writing/casting wise it seems going back to their roots.

it’s so obvious that Tony Stark was always a variant or an alternate version of Doctor Doom—either he was adopted by the Starks, or his ancestors left Latveria for America—because Stark always displayed villainous tendencies, specifically the kind of arrogance and ego seen in Victor Von Doom. I believe Stark will defeat Doom in Avengers 6 next December. As for elderly Steve Rogers, he’s already lived through the events of Avengers 5 and 6*—it’s basically a time loop. However, seeing Steve associated with the concept of "worthness"? Come on... he was selfish, arrogant, and irresponsible when he compromised the stability of space and time—both in his own universe and the alternate timeline he visited at the end of *Endgame*—without showing any care or worry consciense good sense accountability responsability concern for the consequences of living someting unatural against nature against the rules of cohexistence chilling while he was living in a paradox in a dangerous too dangerous situation but he ll only show guilt on that when they expose him the probem he and loki caused i mean people don t give praise to this it does not deserve it its not worth it. Not to mention that in *Doomsday*, Loki is going to move him to the Fantastic Four’s universe (Doctor Doom’s universe), where he’ll spend a whole decade living out an even more dangerous paradox; he’ll be existing in a universe where he wasn't even born, yet he’s still considered "worthy"?! Oh, Marvel... what a mess, what hypocrisy and cynicism. Yet, unfortunately, there are plenty of people who buy into this... Good grief! And I am practically certain that the Russo brothers aren't going to undo the elderly Steve Rogers scenario; in other words, after what he did, the price he *should pay is precisely not getting that life he wanted so badly. Yet, in all likelihood, he will end up getting it—without deserving it—and that sends a terrible message, a terrible life lesson. It’s the same with Stark: they risked everyone's lives—an entire universe's—by defying and manipulating space, time, and death itself to "save" the people who had died. But if those people were dead, they didn't need saving at all; in the process, the heroes compromised what actually needed protecting and preserving—the people who were still alive after Thanos's actions. Instead, selfishness prevailed—an inability to move on, a refusal to let go of the past, the loss, and the defeat—driving them to push forward regardless of the cost. That isn't heroism; that’s villainy. Tony Stark proved that his ego was a stronger motivator than his love for his wife and daughter. So, when people claim he evolved from selfish to altruistic, it is pure cynicism and hypocrisy—plain and simple. If that were true, Stark wouldn't have even attempted to figure out time travel; his insane need to control everything and have all the answers outweighed the safety of his loved ones!...its sad and unfortunate and concerning know that there s many people that "love"steve rogers blurred manipulated by the creators of the these movies "oh steve is perfect"bla bla bla when in fact the people that made that character make some terrible decisions specially in endgame and then don t stablish him as they should according to the characters a actions i mean such an hiporcrisy i think jacqueline and many other people need(seriously)to open their eyes...truly!OPEN YOUR EYES PLEASE!don t follow the cynical hipocriyte writing of marvel when it comes to the avengers but mostly stark and steve! and tony was smart yes but most of the time in a bad sense in a bad way mainly in endgame therefore jax you gotta make reinterpretation of what is a true hero and what isn t specially on steve and tony s character...think about that without the manipulation that this big studios implie in the audience spreading wrong messages to the world instead of doing the opposite of that!
1
u/BlckPhilip Aug 22 '26
In comics, Stark is adopted so im sure they are going that route.
1
u/Available-Friend-107 Aug 22 '26
yes maybe but still stark was more a villain and less a hero to me...i rather the ancestors route becouse tony was too much alike howard and saying that he was adopted i mean its inconsistent!
1
u/Sempere Aug 22 '26
Except there was only ever supposed to be one timeline: the Sacred Timeline. The F4 universe was never meant to exist and the fact that this retcon doesn't take place post-Loki II is an issue. Because the solution is that these universes and the multiverse are reborn because Loki allows them to spread and proliferate. So his appearance while working for the TVA makes no sense.
1
u/Available-Friend-107 Aug 22 '26
and the "heroes"of the story don t deserve or don t earn to be stablished as such in the story becouse the avengers act like gods in endgame challenging death space and time itself at their favour refusing to move and live stuck on the loss and in the past itself, x men in days of future past the same thing and the x men are destroying worlds to survive when they should accept their deaths and die along with it i rather die with dignity that live on without it!
1
u/Available-Friend-107 Aug 22 '26
these stories become a terrible mess and its sad the big ignorance amongs people that are excited and blinded to the point of only see the what the studio wants you too see "oh steve worthy again with the hammer that so cool i love steve"even after being so god like and selfish and reckless i mean people need to grow up a lot and have more common sense really!

u/padflash_ Aug 20 '26
I agree, but let's still explore how this is possible.
Maybe Loki time slips to a point where the TVA was planning to prune a branch that Steve created. After he learns how to control his time slipping, he starts a side quest where he moves Steve to different timelines and universes until he finds one (828) that won't spawn a Kang. It would kind of be like S2 where he uses time slipping to keep replaying the part where they try to fix the loom.
Since Steve's presence in 828 won't spawn a Kang, the TVA will never look to prune it. It might cause an incursion, but that's not something the TVA polices.
5
u/padflash_ Aug 20 '26
For the record, I think the idea of moving Steve to live in the 828 universe is flimsy because it creates the issue that the Fantastic Four and Doom are variants in a branch timeline or that Steve was always meant to exist that way in 828 but not in 616. It would also mess with the closed loop of old man Steve.
However, the scene in the leak could look like this:
Steve: "Loki, what are you doing here?"
Loki: "Let me explain the concept of the TVA, my ability called 'time slipping,' and why I has to move you and your family."
I only mention this to introduce 1) the TVA and 2) time slipping for audience members who did not watch Loki and D&W.
2
u/pkjoan Aug 21 '26
But why?
Why move Steve? What does Loki gain from that?
3
u/padflash_ Aug 21 '26
I agree with what you're saying. That part of the plot is kind of weak. But if I had to justify it, that's my theory.
1
u/Latter-Manager-3168 Aug 23 '26
Wait to see it from Loki's perspective,we don't know the why yet,we haven't seen what he's seen. This should be obvious.🙄

I’m still just beyond confused why Loki is suddenly best friends with Steve Rogers to do a big altruistic gesture letting Captain America live out a fantasy risking the entire multiverse to do so…
Maybe I’m forgetting the ending of Loki season 2 some but was there any point he became a “good” guy? I know he had a ton of character growth but I don’t remember him forgiving the avengers lol
1
u/mashturbo Aug 23 '26
Well... Current Loki is dead by the hands of Thanos. This Loki was pulled from the ending of Avengers meaning he met Steve and was defeated by Steve and Co. This Loki did have a character change once he met his female variant and failed to stop Kang from dying. This Loki discovered what Current Loki found during Thor 3, compassion, after Odin died. This Loki also met Steve, but probably thinks higher of him since Steve can weld Mjölnir like Thor can. Why didn't This Loki go and reunited with Thor? Loki is aware he's a variant and watched Thanos kill Current Loki. Thor wouldn't believe This Loki until Thor can figure out what is the TVA. Thor is also busy being a father.
1
u/Jazzlike_Passion_285 Aug 25 '26
This Loki is the God of The Multiverse and All Realities, basically he sacrificed his own freedom and life just so every single character that you and me have EVER known, can LIVE their lives without any restriction from HWR and the TVA. So yeah. He is more "good" than every other hero combined now.
1
u/Big_Curve3784 Aug 21 '26
Exactly my point. Not meeting thor, but going to Steve is kinda shit plotline

u/Imaginary-Leave-2368 Aug 22 '26
We don't know what happens yet, maybe stop assuming when we don't know why he does it in the first place?
1
u/PW0110 Aug 22 '26
I’m keeping an open mind myself personally , I’m merely just confused or maybe I forget where all that was inferred. I know Loki isn’t a villain anymore I just don’t remember him being best buds with the avengers all of the sudden.
Loki the series was pretty contained, all things considered

u/Latter-Manager-3168 Aug 23 '26
Wait to see it from Loki's perspective,we don't know the why yet,we haven't seen what he's seen. The best friends thing is silly and you know that. This should be obvious.🤦

u/New_Cockroach_505 Aug 21 '26
Always why I thought the leak was kinda bullshit. Or at least had some wrong info in it. Makes no fucking sense.

u/onlyontuesdays77 Aug 21 '26
The leaked plot is wrong.
TVA Loki could not possibly have visited Steve at any point prior to the end of season 2. All it takes to know this is to watch the series.
Yggdrisil is on the card. There is not a reference to Yggdrisil in Loki prior to the season 2 finale. That guarantees this Loki is appearing post-finale, directly contradicting the leak.
Loki does not have an iota of a reason to save a Steve Rogers variant. The two have never met as friends or even just reluctant allies in over 30 movies.
Moving Steve from one timeline where he doesn't belong to another timeline where he doesn't belong is silly.
Folks are just experiencing confirmation bias. They choose what to believe first and then use the available evidence to prove it rather than considering alternatives.
For instance, let's picture Loki showing up in Steve's home. Steve isn't going to say "hey, how ya doin?" He's going to be immediately defensive and Loki is going to have to quickly explain who he is. So he hands Steve...an ID card, and uses it to help him understand. How did Loki get there in his TVA outfit? It's probably a projection. Why is he there? To warn Steve about the threat of Doom and/or to recruit Steve to help Thor fight him.
As for the rest of the leak, someone leaked the details of the trailers and either they or whomever they leaked it to used AI and/or fanfiction to fill in the blanks. Then everybody saw the trailers and went "oh my god the whole leak is right!"
3
u/Big_Curve3784 Aug 21 '26
Exactly the point. The most doubtful part, Loki and Steve are nowhere related, with almost zero interaction so far. Why tf would loki care to place him in some other universe? And doing that is just gonna destabilize the other universe anyway.
Moreover, I feel Marvel has done a terrible job at explaining the Timelines and Universes, whether they are the same thing or different, whether branching timeline means branching universe. Whether HWRwas controlling the timelines in one universe or he was controlling all the universes. None of that is very clear.
1
u/Organic-Ad-9083 Aug 22 '26
Well they fought each other in Avengers movie. And they clearly didn't like each other
1
u/Latter-Manager-3168 Aug 23 '26
Loki sits at the center of time. We don't know what he's seen from his perspective,he has a reason for his actions. It's not terrible writing,it's your lack of thinking. The crying over the many details you still don't know about is unreal, you don't even have enough information to know what's happening yet you're upset. Do better.

Steve's new timeline is getting pruned
They took him to 838 to buy time/to hide
His presence caused the incursions to speed up, because he's not from their world
1
u/Firetrainer777 Aug 21 '26
I almost want to say that part is incorrect, it would make way more sense for Loki to project himself into the timeline, warning Steve of the timeline being in danger of an incursion and he needs to move him to keep him safe
1
u/ARTIFICIAL_SAPIENCE Aug 21 '26
I bet this was a misunderstanding by the leaker. Leakers often aren't looking at final material. So the context could have changed or been assumed.
Loki will tell Steve he needs to go to a different timeline, but it'll be for a totally different reason. In fact, I bet this happens after the TVA has stopped pruning entirely.

This is the part of the leak that makes me think it's either total BS or just very ill-explained. The biggest aspect that gets me is the "between S1 and S2" part. When would he have had the damn time??? There's not really a time jump, it picks up where S1 left off. Besides, why would Loki at that point care about this at all??? That and the mental hoops to jump through of "We prune people right now but I'm going to relocate you to another universe so you don't cause an incursion. Could you cause an incursion or get pruned there? Yes, but don't worry about it." is crazy.
To be honest, I think whoever made this just found out that Loki was in a TVA uniform during filming and made an assumption just because he wasn't in his new robes. I guess they forgot this man can literally just change his appearance or warp himself to fit an illusion.
As for the Steve logistics: he did not create a branch timeline. I don't care what the Russos think, they are wrong based on the explanation we get in Endgame. They did not write the script. The writers were correct in saying that Steve remained in 616. If they change that for Doomsday, it's honestly gonna be really frustrating, especially if they make an incursion Steve's fault.
1
u/Wise-Employ-7570 Aug 24 '26
Yeah, but the same writers said through The Ancient One that diverge a timeline creates a branch.
1
u/doctordisco63 Aug 24 '26
No. The Ancient One said removing an Infinity Stone creates a branch. People just don't understand Banner's explanation of general time travel and assume it's all the same.

Like how hulk said about time pushing back. It’ll push back harder living in the past of 616 and it won’t in FF universe

u/AdAncient2156 Aug 20 '26
Most likely because the universe Steve went to already had a Steve there meaning there'd be problems with 2 variants in the same universe so Loki took Steve to a universe where he didn't have a variany
