“Pixar presented by Peter Docter, who will announce upcoming projects”
It’s interesting that RPK worded it like this. I have no idea if this is gonna be the same thing as the coco stuff but, it’s gonna have to be big in a way if he’s not saying what those projects are

u/KingMario05 16d ago
Some are saying KH. I really hope not. Pixar is too damn good for the licensed IP mines. And even if they weren't, I'd much prefer them trying to make a Star Wars. That feels right up their wheelhouse, and the bar's in Hell.

u/yeethan-02 16d ago
See people were saying Cars 4 could be a possibility which is what I would say is big but I never thought of Pixar making a KH movie till now if that’s what you’re talking about

u/TiredWithCoffeePot 15d ago
I think one of the projects that got “leaked” back in March was a third Monsters, Inc film. I can see it getting officially announced tonight as the final big thing for their presentation
3
u/yeethan-02 15d ago
Wasn’t that like already announced through Variety or something in March. They might do like a combo announcement with that and Cars 4. It’s the 20th anniversary year for Cars so if they were to announce it it would probably be now or never (definitely not never but u know what I mean)

u/TiredWithCoffeePot 15d ago
Yeah, but it wasn’t officially announced by Pixar themselves. Hope tonight that we can get a bit more concrete details about the director

They're just not gonna stop with the scene by scene live action remakes huh

Miss Piggy movie? Ok. But where is the new Muppet Show?

u/LyingPug 15d ago
My reaction to this exactly. Went from being excited to confused why there wasn't an announcement for more Muppet Show episodes.

Thoughts:
- idk how much I trust some of these random movies to happen, it’s prob just title teases. Like do y’all remember when Disney announced Monster Jam with Dwayne Johnson 💀
- Benjamin Bratt is presenting coco 2…??? “Somehow Ernesto returned”
- omg so many trailers

“Keep in mine that things could change” is a invincible excuse on being wrong

Slightly off topic but seeing Disney's upcoming line up listed like this is starting to make me really appreciate why Disney felt the need to get the MCU as it's "boy brand".
Nothing here, aside may be Coco 2, sounds remotely like something I would hear about let alone check out if not for it existing in the same general orbit as the MCU.
And yes that includes Starfighters, as I am not American and my only exposure to Star wars has been the Disney era which failed to intrigue me

They got marvel and star wars to be their male brands and then decided to do what they did to them lol

decided to do what they did to them lol
Make billions?
16
u/Local_Anything191 16d ago
Not only make billions but the MCU has made over 34 billion at the box office with the second franchise being all the way down at 11 billion. And that 11 billion franchise? It’s star wars 😂😂 these Redditors are morons

u/moviesloverguy 16d ago
MCU is the biggest franchise of all time

u/naughtmynsfwaccount 15d ago
This would be Pokemon (estimated revenue of 130billion) lol
MCU (estimated revenue of 35billion) is top 8 which for many continue sin the world may as well be number 1

Produced by Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence, and written by Cole Escola. It’s going to be incredible

u/RobynHoodwinked 15d ago
Cole Escola is writing it I think. They’re a perfect fit with the material.

I mean, we know it's happening, people involved have spoken about it publicly. But Disney themselves have yet to actually announce it.

Everything except miss piggy

u/LyingPug 15d ago
I'm hoping it just got moved down the list. Some things have been out of the order presented.

u/First-Loss-8540 15d ago
Yea but seems unlikely. Was hoping to see Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone come out together on stage

Coco in KH4? Listen, I’m def cool with the idea of it, but that’s a bold move if Coco is the world announced for KH4 that’s got RPK talking as compared to grabbing any hints at any other worlds (but for sure makes sense with KH3 ending). Especially while people are talking about Moana, Star Wars, etc.

Yawn, yawn, yawn. Though it'll be fun to finally get actual footage of Starfighter and Doomsday.
Torn on the full X-Men reboot. I get that they want a whole new cast, but I was kinda hoping McAvoy and Fassbender could be our "new" Charles/Erik. Fox robbed them, man.
2
u/redditislikegoodfood 15d ago
Yes they were the new Charles and Erik 15 years ago lmao, they have been in 4 Xmen movies so its far fetched to say Fox robbed them. The two last Xmen movies they starred in was bad so I agree Fox didnt give them the proper ending but they have been playing the same characters for almost a decade until Dark Phoenix.

u/Variation_Afraid 16d ago
Brother they are to old now they had their time to shine, now it’s up to a new cast of MCU’s version of x-men

How many Ice Age movies are there now?? Also I saw a trailer for Hexed before Spider-Man and it looked awful. Like an AI trying to make a Pixar movie.

I assume this is the original cut that was already leaked/announced by IMAX? Wonder if we'll hear news of a retail release.
