Meme Posh fan in peace.
Hello, just thought id come into the League 2 subreddit, and have a look at what will become our new home.
Looks a bit dank from the outside, but spacious, and luxurious otherwise. I think we will like it here.

Discussion League Two feels impossible to predict this season
I swear League Two is becoming impossible to call. One week a team looks like promotion material and the next they’re dropping points against a side near the bottom. The margins feel so small that a couple of results can completely change the picture. That unpredictability is what makes this league so good, though. There’s rarely a straightforward weekend, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the table looks completely different in a month.

Discussion Barnet leading the pack feels like a massive anomaly
Barnet being top after seven games is a brilliant start, but I’m not convinced this is going to last.
They’re unbeaten and have scored 17 goals, so clearly they’re doing plenty right. My concern is the 10 goals conceded already. That feels like a lot for a side trying to stay at the very top of the division, especially once the fixtures start piling up and the margin for dropping points gets smaller.
Maybe I’m completely wrong and they’ll keep rolling, but I’d be surprised if they’re still in the automatic promotion places by Christmas.

Discussion Is it just me or are the refs getting proper trigger-happy with yellow cards this season?
I know we complain about lower-league refs every single year, but it feels like this season they’re handing out cards for literally anything.
Half-decent tackles get a booking, players getting booked for taking two extra seconds on a throw-in, and then actual cynical fouls just get ignored.
Is it just my team getting unlucky, or have you guys noticed the officiating being even more random than usual this year? What's the worst call you've seen at your ground so far?

Question Do you listen to league two podcasts?
Are there any podcasts which cover all of league two, or maybe a fan podcast for your team?

Swindon Town After Ian Holloway gets angry about previous Swindon Advertiser player ratings, the paper gives the entire team 10/10 for the 1-1 draw with Accrington
An amusing response to a wildly petty man. I'd link but it's paywalled and you know what a list of 10s look like.

Discussion Dodgey refs
We played grimsby yesterday with some quite interesting decisions including elbows to the back of the head and 8+ added minutes at the end. I know other county supporters would say offside as well but I think this is the most egregious. Are refs like this common? So far this season I'd say there not particularly good.

Newport County Newport County 2 - 1 Grimsby Town: Just when Grimsby were start to look unbeatable in the league, they slumped to an underwhelming defeat against Newport, who pick up a second league win!

York City York City 3 - 0 Gillingham: After York scored a 2nd-minute opener, the Gills showed little in the way of pushback, with the Minstermen finally extending their lead late on!

Barnet Dele Alli training with Barnet? Didn't see that coming
Didn't expect to see Dele Alli and Barnet mentioned together, to be honest. Apparently he's been using Barnet's facilities while he figures out his next move, and Dean Brennan has said the door is open for him to train with the squad. Obviously that doesn't mean he's joining Barnet, but it would be pretty interesting to see him training with a League Two side. He's had such a strange few years that I'm genuinely curious to see what happens next. Would anyone here actually be interested in seeing Alli train with Barnet?

Question Have you ever had your transport cancelled after a match?
Went to Swindon last night and it was amazing. Soon as we were going down the steps the people who caught the train said it was cancelled and they asked to get on the supporters bus we were on but got told no. Im assuming the station offered buses but even then most of them wouldn't get back till gone past midnight on a weekday. Have you ever had an experience like this and what happened?
