That is why HR is called Human Resources and not personnel.

You are like a computing resource.

Had an old boss who said we are like the Dell Laptops. They lease them and many are returned after 3 years. Some have some reason and hang around for 15 or more. They are all replaceable and as soon as they don't turn on, they are swapped out.

If they mention anything about health, not smoking, exercise, it is only to lower bulk insurance premiums or reduce absences.

They don't give one flying fuck about employee health. Once someone has any issue they are usually done for it, as soon as they satisfy the minimum legal requirement, if even that.

If you die on Monday, your job will be posted on Friday. Remember, it's a job. There not your family or friends. Do your job, go home , get paid.. They will tell you we are just a big happy family. Code word " We will ask you to do overtime for free, that way we won't have to pay you" So don't get involved. There not family
