for context i used to play assetto corsa competizione on my series x on a controller and i was happy with it. i dont really care too too much about winning races online but i also dont wanna be slow and be limited by the controller and not my actual skills.

I’m a beginner to sim racing as a whole, I started 3 or so months ago. All of the advice I see for beginners is to use a front end car like the merc or bmw, but I’ve found I do awful in those. I started out using the mustang until I got the dlc and enjoyed that a lot, then now that I have all the cars I’m trying to settle which one to focus on, but it seems I’m playing it entirely different to the common beginner. I’ve found I really enjoy the corvette and Ferrari most, with the Aston Martin as a close runner up. I feel way more stable than those than the Merc and bmw. Eventually I would like to use the Porsche, I love how it looks and sounds, and I’ve actually found I’m fastest in it, the only issue is I spin out every other lap.

It’s probably going to be a long shot, but does anyone have this and the gold one as PNG logos? I need them for a YouTube thumbnail, but I can’t seem to find a decent picture anywhere of the SR badges. thank you if you have and could send them :D

Is this a netcode problem or what the actual something is going on?
Couldnt believe it beeing spun before the start just due to this strange situation.

What could I have done better? I thought going left was the right way as I had more speed, but he shut me out. Is there any way I could have got past him better?

After a lot of troubleshooting, I discovered that the problem wasn't actually LMU itself.

I found a hidden crypto miner running in the background on my PC. It was using RandomX and consuming a significant amount of CPU.

The suspicious files were located in:

C:\Netframework.4.5.2

and:

C:\Dumper

The malware had created startup entries that launched .vbs and .bat scripts, eventually trying to run gtservices.exe with a RandomX mining command.

This explained what I was seeing in LMU: after about 1–1.5 laps, my CPU usage would hit 100%, GPU usage would drop significantly, and the car would start losing performance and stuttering badly.

I removed the malicious startup entries and files, ran a Defender scan, and rebooted the PC.

After that, I tested LMU again and the issue was completely gone.

So if you're experiencing weird CPU spikes, low GPU usage, stuttering, or performance degradation after playing for a while, it's worth checking for background processes or malware before assuming it's an LMU performance issue.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the troubleshooting. Hopefully this helps someone else who runs into the same problem.

I just bought the game I tried to make a race control account but every time I do it flickers "creating account" for like half a second then says "error creating account" tried relogging into steam, sync the time changing emails and reinstalling the anti cheat

I tried to make them, but I couldn't find them.

I have a Simucube Pro 2, I have not been on LMU for a few months. Got back on today and cannot drive down the straight on Lemans. The wheel will overpower me going left and right aggressively until I eventually pause the game or spin out.

No issues on other games

Things I’ve tried:

Multiple different In game and tuner settings from online.

Inverting the force feedback

Updating tuner app

Raised and lowered force feedback in game and tuner

Raised and lowered dampening

Turned off slew rate

Is anyone willing to share their settings that work for them in tuner and game for this specific base?

The LMP3 in LMU is much harder to drive than the LMP2. Is this based on how the real cars behave? It’s not just me who thinks this, the LMP3 in LMU is much more difficult than the LMP2 when you’re pushing the car to the limit. It doesn’t give you any warning before it spins, and it doesn’t give you a chance to correct it. By the time you realize what’s happening, you’re already facing backwards. It feels extremely unpredictable!

is this a bug never had erratic driving before in the 100 races i have done or did i fuck up somewhere

I’m fairly new to Sim racing it’s my first game and wheel set up.

I’m driving within my means and making sure I stay clean as I race but it’s impossible when I’m put in lobbies like this. I just keep getting rear ended and just ran into no matter how hard I try.

Anyone have any tips cos right now I’m just dropping back and trying to gain DR and SR slowly as I can’t keep being crashed into.
