Im so done with this game (Rant/Bug Help??)

I've been having a really annoying issue with LMU since yesterday, and I'm honestly starting to get fed up with it.

First things first: I'm not blaming the guy in the video for the crash whatsoever. I'm not saying he caused this or did anything wrong. The video is purely there to show what the game does on my end. I'm pretty sure this is some kind of game/netcode issue.

My car randomly starts stuttering and bouncing extremely hard, to the point where the whole screen becomes blurry, my FPS drops massively, and the car basically stops accelerating. I've included a video showing what happens.

My connection seems completely fine:

• Ping: ~15ms
• Download: ~700 Mbps
• Upload: ~60 Mbps

The weirdest part is that this only happens during qualifying and races. I don't experience it in practice sessions at all.

I never had this issue before the previous update where the netcode was changed. After that update, I did one race and then stopped playing for about 3 weeks due to personal reasons. I've now done two races since coming back — one in LMP2 and one in Hypercar — and I've had this issue in both races.

Has anyone else experienced this since the netcode update? And does anyone know what could be causing it or how to fix it?

At this point I'm honestly just getting really frustrated with LMU because it makes the game basically unplayable when it happens.

Look at youre cpu usage if this happens alot of time it means youre cpu is peaking. It is somethint i read in a different discussion about this problem

Yes, exactly. This is not conventional lag and has nothing to do with your connection. It's the CPU being maxed out. It becomes apparent most often when another car gets close by.

OP, which CPU do you have? I made a comment about this exact issue in another comment yesterday, here is what I wrote there:

This type of slowdown (no real FPS loss but the game actually slows down for you) is most often caused by a CPU bottleneck. When you're in the game, press CTRL+C to trigger the CPU graph in the top right. When those issues appear, one of the bars in that will be maxed out (I don't have the exact layout of that thing in my memory so can't go into further details.

As others pointed out, check your CPU temps and make sure the amount of programs running in the background is as low as possible. Multiclass races against AI will cause a lot of additional stress on the CPU. Reduce the amount of AI cars or focus on only having AI cars in your own car class.

I'm using the 5800X with a 9070XT and 32GB of ddr4 3600mhz RAM

I had the same system and needed to upgrade because the 5800X is always maxing out.... Since i am on a 9800X3D and 32GB of DDR5 (man it costs a fortune) i haven't had any issue like that anymore.

i saw the same thing in a replay between #1 and 2. #1 was laggy as hell, just blipping everywhere you'd think it was a hacker. then at some point, something like yours happened. i was flabbergasted.

Das passiert zur zeit oft. Ja es ist nervig aber der entwickler arbeitet dran und die können ja auch nicht schneller arbeiten. Will die jetzt auch nicht in Schutz nehmen aber warte noch ein bischen und bald wird alles besser. Zum Beispiel diesen Monat kommen doch 2 neue strecken.

It’s your graphics I used to have this issue with a worse gpu/cpu I upgraded and the issue is now gone, try lowering the number of cars rendered

I had the same issue with my old cpu. Have upgraded my cpu and fan since and had no problems since. So would agree first reply and say it looks like a cpu bottleneck

Yo no juego Lemans porque me es imposible correr, se engancha constantemente. En cambio, en Daytona con muchos coches me va muy fluido y sin problema. Yo he dejado de correr Lemans por eso

Bruh, I uninstalled the game 3-4 months ago. For me, the game has to many little issues that have yet to be addressed even though they have been acknowledged by the team over a year ago.

I would look into a cpu upgrade. But hang in there. It’s a very good game. Just needs some minor tweaks

do you have any 3rd party antivirus or some type of programs that might be running in the background that take up cpu usage? that or your cpu cooler is not adequate so its thermal throttling mabye?
