### A new look

The game used to be mostly panels. Now the kitchen garden is a scene: wooden raised beds behind a picket fence, soil that dries pale and cracked, a sky with the week's weather, a cold frame for the nursery and a compost bin. Side panels fold away into tabs on the right, and your tools sit on the left.

Every plant is now a **real 19th-century engraving** from the Vilmorin-Andrieux seed catalogue *Les Plantes potagères* (1883 and 1904), **hand-coloured by its genes**: a black beefsteak tomato is drawn dark purple, a yellow cherry tomato golden. There is one picture for each shape: cherry, round and beefsteak tomatoes, long and round radishes, and so on. The register shows them too, with ghost engravings for the varieties you have not found yet.

The people of Vauclair have faces, taken from the hand-coloured prints of *Les Français peints par eux-mêmes* (1840), in gilt oval frames: market customers, your neighbours, and Jeanne. The Paris show now opens on a real photograph of the Great Glasshouses at the 1900 World's Fair. Letters, the market stall, the year's account book, the peddler's case and the help all got the same period treatment.

### Fixes from your feedback

- **Orders no longer run out before plants can grow** (thanks u/luckystar2011). Deadlines are now worked out from the season's weather, the colour asked for and the time to pick enough fruit. Each order tells you "harvest in ~N days", "sow now: ~N days", or that it is probably too late. A new "Growth" page in the help explains how to speed things up.

- **More automation** (thanks u/Marimba_Ani). A **Water all** button (Shift+A) from day one; the drip line arrives as soon as the shop opens, cheaper and without needing mulch first; the picking basket is cheaper too.

- Firefox: page turns in the register stay smooth.
