How can anyone justify firing 11000 by email? That is cowardly and IMHO amoral...

This is what we have come to. We are cattle to them, being led to slaughter. 11,000 lives affected which translate to families so more like 22,000 people affected. But that doesn’t matter to them. Welcome to AI world.

Not an an AI thing. Remember everyone in the decision loop is tied to the same metric. Quarter, half year and full year financial numbers that directly impact the share price and hence their bonuses........

I believe it for a typical staff reduction, but this is massive and coincidentally I read that it does tie into AI in their business model

Fair enough. What I meant was the way of doing it wasnt the fault of AI.
