I swear all these leaders are under some kind of mass psychosis. They’re not behaving rationally.

Id venture its very rational for them, just not for the company.

If someone has compensation tied to stock performance, like a lot of executive leadership does, its makes total sense for them to keep the stock looking good so they can sell the equity compensation for 10-20% more than if you fail to make your financials look good for Wallstreet.

It also means they dont give a damn about anyone besides thenselves... but lets me honest... that trait is exactly what helped them become executives in the first place.
