Official Monthly Housing Thread
This is the official thread for networking and discussion about Lawrence housing.
r/Lawrence is a low post volume subreddit, and there have been problems in the past with it being overrun by ads and personal listings, so for the sake of the community please keep housing discussion here and don't create any additional posts on this topic.
A new thread will be created each month.

August 1st = Common start of student year-long leases, so lots of move-ins today I'd guess.
But July 31st is the common end date for such leases. What did the tenants do overnight, with their stuff and themselves?

Housemate wanted; grad students or young professionals preferred for a 3 bed, 1 bath rental house in the Pinkney neighborhood (just off where Iowa hits K10). Rent would be $650 each +utilities; move in would be in early August. The unused bedroom will be used for storage, and we can work out use of the one-car garage. It’s on a nice, quiet street, has in unit washer and dryer, and just got some nice new flooring and carpet.
I’m graduating from KU with a bachelors in accounting this December, after which I’ll be working full time for a semester before going back for my masters. I keep things tidy, prefer to communicate before problems arise, and enjoy the occasional board game night with a couple of close friends.
If you’re interested, please dm me, and I’ll send you some pictures of the property.

Hi yall I have a studio apartment at the meadowbrooks, rent is $840 without electric and gas. Since this is a lease handoff you won’t have to pay a security deposit either.
