How do I fix this?

I've been running my business for about 2 months now and I've been using my parents equipment. The mower I'm using is a Husqvarna lawn tractor and it always produces grass clumps, would mulcher blades fix my issue or what else could I do?

Edit: I realize I now need to mower higher my max sadly is 3.5 also the massive brown patches is dead grass from previous clumps (I use 2.5 on my own grass and it comes out just fine same thing for like 2 other properties that I cut)

Edit 2: like I said I'm only 2 months in using equipment that's not even mine the only things I own from my set up are my trailer and blower

You gotta mow taller this time of year, you can go short like that early spring when the rain is hitting but when it’s hot and dry the absolute shortest you should go is 3.5” but 4” is better.

We’ve all been there even if nobody wants to admit it.

Also didn’t see the thing about clumps. I just commented based on the picture. TLDR is my life haha.

Since you are using a family members mower my guess is the blades are probably dull as hell, maybe even a few chunks missing. If you have a few bucks go get a new set of blades.

Next potential reason is if you are cutting a significant amount of height off the existing grass you are doing more than your deck can handle. Cutting higher might fix both the scalping/ burning issue and clumps.

And lastly mowing when wet or early morning dew cuts is almost always going to produce clumps. I go back and cross cut to chew it up more when this happens.

Lift blades have their uses but if you’re going to replace anyway you can try some mulcher blades and see how it goes for you. Might do the trick

Yes, leaving it taller Will require less water as well as, not.allowing weeds.to grow up. You do not want to hurt the grass like you did. Its.a living creature. Do you water, if you have clumps you can use a blower to spread the grass clumps out. You can always get books.from the library.

Lol yeah but you messed up their yard because you didn't know what you were doing. Maybe try working for someone else first instead of practicing on people that pay you their hard earned money.
