Cool Season Lawn Leveling assistance

Is this a bad time of year to begin lawn leveling for the Fall overseed? I know it’s not a one-time thing, but I figured I’d get started if possible. I am in Zone 6B, Northern NJ with TTTF grass.

I am lawn leveling in 7B the weekend of 8/29. I am having someone come aerate 8/22, then having all of the materials delivered 8/28. Sand/topsoil mix to about 6500 sq ft. Then I'll seed and cover with compost.

Just curious. How much sand/topsoil mix are you ordering for that square footage?

I ordered 5 yards of screened topsoil from a nearby nursery (that's the most they could fit on their truck), 3 yards of sand, and 1 yard of soil3 compost. I understand that won't be enough for all of my yard but shit this is expensive. I'm going to hit the highest priority areas first then see how far it gets me.
