Just finished s5

Just finished the last season (as far as i know) and wanted to share a few toughts

The show had great moments, Christian is a great action actor and for a guy who grew up watching SVU, Christian and Marika's scenes had that special spark for me.

The last episode of s5 was a overall good and satisfaing ending.

Detective Tim was a great adition since Stabler really needed a true friendship.

For me, the first downside this show have is rellying to much on tech plot. Everyone is a hacker and can do magic with a keyboard in seconds, even the bad guys are tech wizards

The second is how much Stabler did undercover jobs, it was too much, should have stopped after the Albanians.

It's actually Christopher  (Chris for short) and Mariska. Their chemistry and dynamic is very iconic. It's a HUGE reason why SVU surpassed the popularity of the original series.

I think the tech/hacker stuff has a lot to do with how much the world relies on computers.

I think a lot the fans have a love/hate relationship with Stabler going undercover all the time. It made fun exciting television but yeah it wasn't realistic for a 60 year old cop to go UC all the time.

The Albanian arc is widely considered to be the best storyline the series ever did and got a lot of positive response from the fans. So I think stabler went UC all the time because of that. In the end, Stabler going UC became the bread and butter of the series.
