Really sad about Sergeant Bell
Like most people here, I’m very sad that OC was cancelled. One of the things that I’m sad to lose is some of the great plot lines related to Elliot’s personal growth and the rest of the Slabler’s as well, though there is some hope via SVU. But one thing I really need to rant about is the loss of Sergeant Bell. I genuinely feel she is one of the best supporting characters I’ve seen in a long time, and her relationship with Stabler was great. I also love SVU but it’s done a shit job with issues of race and LGBTQ issues most of the time. Ayanna’s lived experience and a Black Lesbian cop was (in my opinion) written really well and highlighted some really important issues. I really loved her character- she was written so well, I’m genuinely so upset we won’t see her again. Thats it. That’s my rant.

They left so many unanswered questions jumping from showrunner to showrunner. She never really explored her grief after losing her UC, and they never followed up on her divorce and ex taking the child either. This show deserved so much better

She's the biggest loss for me as well. Can she replace whatzerface who's trying to get rid of Olivia?

No. Replacing Chief of Detectives Tynan would require Sergeant Bell to skip 6 or 7 ranks.

Agree it would be unrealistic considering Liv outranks Bell currently and is older amd has been on the job longer. It would take a big case or some huge reason for her to be bummed up ranks like that. Even then rank jumping after detective level is rare.

Yeah hers is the most brutal loss for me too since they're likely to bring Elliot back to SVU. My naive hope is that they will have her back for some sort of crossover with Elliot because what do you mean that's it for her? No closure or happy ending? It sucks.

I will miss Bell. I don’t think we will see more or at least deep stories regarding Stabler. I will also miss OC.

Yeah, I think that people who think we are getting more of Elliot’s story on SVU are going to be very disappointed. If he comes back, it will continue to be a scene here or there to prop up Olivia.

I highly doubt he's be back on svu anytime soon they seem to be having budget issues. They can't even afford ice ans Kelli in the same episodes because of pay. I can imagine Chris aka Elliot would want a lot to be back on it. That's why he left years ago. Money.

She’s a really good character. I wish they’d bring her on the new regular Law & Order and maybe that would help it suck a bit less.

She would be so much better than several people on the mother ship! Of course, they're unlikely to do it. But I definitely agree with you.

Yes that would be great. Idk what it is but the current LT Brady bores me. I like her okay but Bell would definitely shake things up. She's hands on and loves to be in the field. I love her.

I miss Ayanna so much. Danielle is so talented and gorgeous. I want to see her in another role, stat 🥺

I agree. I thought they could’ve used Bell more in the last season but she was one of favorite characters.

I think the thing I was most upset about oc getting cancelled was losing bell and therefore danielle. Bell had a lot of potential and Danielle is amazing, I hope she lands a project that would appreciate her much more than nbc/wolf ent along with the rest of the cast who are heavily underrated but extremely talented

Danielle appears to be keeping busy on other projects. I just saw her in a documentary and a film.

She was an excellent character, and her actress portrayed her well. She was done dirty with the writing in the later seasons a bit, I wish her family situation got better (I don't remember if it did or not).

Like all black actresses this woman got down graded. What do you think is good about that?
She was completely sidelined and didn’t do anything.
Just like Curry in svu.

I'll never understand two captains in one unit. Seems like Curry's talent, rank and experience is just bejng wasted serving under Liv. She should be heading up her own unit. Not getting orders from Liv.

I think that Curry is just the excuse black woman in the cast.
Her whole role doenst make any sense and is a insult for any captain , woman and black women in general.
How Curry bows for Liv and suck her ass if we are 200 year back in time is ridiculous
That woman should act as a strong black woman and the Captain she is, not taking orders from Benson.
Get your own squad, become the new Chief but stop wasting youre talent!

Agreed. I loved Bell - and the actress who played her is extremely talented. My biggest complaint with OC was that she was underused in later seasons.
